Extraction Using Hash for edibles and oils?

My first run with it was from trash, yes, actual trash. Just stuff I hadn't thrown away. It was from the skeleton of one of my girls. I forgot I had put it into the shower stall to get it outta the way. I picked the skeleton clean and put it in the Ardent and ran it thru decarb and infusion. I made my first chocolates with it.
It's really stoner proof!

I can't wait man. Going to be about 3 weeks before I get my hands on the pot, so going to do a turkey bag oven decarb with some hash or dry sift & then put that in some cookies. My final aim is the gummy route, but I see in the Noids you can do an alcohol extraction - that I really want to test. I put a link below in case anyone wanted a look.

Interesting device. I have the silicone sleeve that makes cleanup simple. with the Ardent I might do an alcohol extraction one day as a test, but afterwards, I'd want some recovery system. Everclear ain't cheap.

I hear you on that. I currently buy Butane for BHO, and have similar pricing issues.

FWIW I did the Turkey bag in the oven many, many times before I realized it wasn’t decarbing properly that way. I think the air inside the bag doesn’t get up to temp the same way it would if it were just in the oven.

I’d wait for your device unless you just have tons of herb lying around and/or you can measure the temp inside the oven bag to adjust oven temp on the fly.

Cheers man, I have said I'll supply weed for a festival so need to put some plan into action. I do have a lot of weed, so a few g here or there will not be an issue.
 
Going to use this with about 2 grams of kief, and put in the turkey bag. I would rather do away with the decarb & just mix the kief in with the butter & cook. Do you think this would get activated, or am I wasting my time?

Ingredients
  • 225g (1 cup) caster sugar
  • 300g (2 cups) plain flour (sifted)
  • 200g (1 cup) of butter melted
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 1tsp of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 100g-200g chocolate or chocolate chips
Method
  • Add the sugar and melted butter in a bowl and mix together – a wooden spoon is fine, no need for a whisk.
  • Sift the flour, baking powder, vanilla and salt together and add to the sugar and butter mixture. Add the chocolate chips at this stage if you’re making chocolate chip cookies.
  • Mix together using your hand. Once you get a dough texture, add the egg and knead using your hand again.
  • Spread some butter onto a baking tray. Take some of the dough, roll into ball then flatten a little. Keep them on the small side as they spread out during baking. Also, don’t keep biscuits close to each other otherwise they will get stuck together.
  • Place in the oven and bake at 160C, gas 3 for 10-20 mins. The bigger the cookies, the longer they’ll take to cook. They’re ready when the edges are a bit golden.

Naaaaa..........Like Green Hornet said, it's best to decarb.
If anyone want to use edibles, The Ardent FX is so simple, works like a charm and really doesn't smell...........until you open it. If you want to infuse oil, you do it in the same vessel. Get the silicone insert for effortless clean up.
If I was using kief to make ONE batch of cookies, I'd just add the kief to the mix after decarb. If I knew I was going to make more, I'd infuse into coca butter and make it strong enough so that you just need a tablespoon and substitute that portion of the butter.
 
Peeps I tell you, it's all in the deacrb & fricken hell it worked lol.

.2 gram bomber & yeah, that might be ok.
.3 Gram bomber & yes, definitely something there.

Put the remainder in the above recipe & people are complaining to me that they were supposed to pick their kids up & no one is driving. We're ordering takeout instead. Ah, this is the life.
