    Germination
  • Day three from first germination. All three have sprouted! I still have five or six and am considering sprouting them as well for a pheno hunt after some holiday traveling.

The ones that are hard to see are circled.

Read below if you're wondering why I moved them from the large pot to individual small ones.

I received my 4x4 yesterday and set it up. Then I set out to transplant some clones and discovered that one of them was unable to put roots down to the bottom of the pot because my homemade soil had insufficient drainage.

I checked some seeds (of other strains) and found what I presume were fungus gnat larvae where the seeds used to be. In the final case I found three larvae and they hadn't yet completely consumed the helmet. So I moved the 4WS seeds to separate small pots. I'll be mulching with rice hulls as soon as they're tall enough.

    Sex
  • Nearing the end of week 5 - already on flip schedule because I only have one tent. They're small due to the 2 gallon pots and early 12/12 light schedule but I'm confident they're going to pick up enough size in stretch to give me at least an ounce per plant - we'll see.

One male has shown sex as of today. (Far left - 4WS #3.) So I'm sure the other two are females.

I'll post again when the ladies show sex. I haven't killed the male yet, though I'll have to do something soon because I have flowering plants in the same tent.

    Early Flower
  • End of week 8. Small pots, so small plants. I've bent them and a few days ago I supercropped the mains. I've been throwing pollen on everything in the tent and suspect these ladies have a few seeds too. That's okay because at some time I can grow them out and see what I get.

They're both growing really well in living soil and I haven't given them anything since I transferred them to these pots.

    Harvest
  • There's no fade whatsoever. But I'm in living soil and that's pretty common. I looked at the trichomes under a microscope though, and they are ready so I chopped them, along with some other plants at the same stage.

When they dry, because I accidentally pollinated fully both plants, I'll be ripping up the buds to get the seeds. I'll then do a smoke test of vegetation but because they're seeded I'll probably be making hash oil. Expect a hash oil smoke test too.
