Unique Scent and Taste Seekers : Post your Wants and Favorites!!

:gary: Excellent thread topic Don Skelly! Aromatics are a true decadence from our beloved canna', and play such a big role in the nature of the buzz... One of my favorite things to anticipate as blooming starts! I must say that breeder descriptions of aromatics are a big part of choice making for me :eyebrows:,.... Then there's the wait to see if it's shows, more or less... live plant vs. cured bud- that's another little guessing game there! And then there's the odd pheno's that may bring something totally different to the table.. Remember my Flavor Grapes from Mephisto? One spot-on, the other was a funky OG-like aroma live, but cured to an very odd herbal/spice cabinet aroma,..looked and grew differently as well! Of course, those were F1's :wiz:... My head is swimming with strains, choices, etc.,...:coffee:... I'll throw out some of my fav's here!

>> Green Poison! A superb strain all around, and very consistent with aromatics/affects from auto to F1FV to photo' versions ,... For sweetness, complex fruit aromas, she's a top choice with me! Yes, live plant lychee aroma I get, and something very close to Kaffir Lime.... holds pretty true through cure,...

That is it exactly my friend. Smells linked to effects are often what draw us back to certain strains and scents, sometimes even when we don't even realize the connection!!

Yes, me too!! Breeder scent profiles play a tremendous part in my selection process, as well as follow up research in journals across the net.

Stunning bud man!! Thanks for posting!! I am also a Green Poison fan as well after the plant I did last season outdoors. I liked it so much, i am trying a green poison regular and a green poison fast!! It will help lay down a path for next season running both types.

 geez, what a spazz... I hit the post button instead of upload! OK, try again gellie.....

>> Let's see, going way back 5 years, one of the best auto's I've had to date still is HighRise's GHzD x C99 (Gorilla Haze x Sour Diesel x C99)....Unique aromatics indeed; I got this amazing honey-floral with an interesting earthy back note,... I can't bloody find dry porn of her now! :cuss:..live it is then...

>> Another memorable strain is the fantastic Wild Thai Ryder! Holy crap, this was a soaring potent Sativa with trippy aromatics, not for twitchy peep's at all!...very Asian/Thai base-- floral, mild sweet, complex woods/incense, but with a definite note of barf- --seriously, the jar smell was confusing! The smoke flavor carried none of it though, room smoke aroma was exotic:drool:

:pause: :glutton: :pause: dinner break!... more from HighRise coming, Maines own Blueberry, Grape Hash Plant [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG],.... Mephisto photo' Sour Bubble/Chem D x Alien OG,... Acapulco Gold banana bubblegum pheno' and sharp metallic citrus pheno',....

For the Chocolate lovers out there, I've had but I have never grown Chocolope. It is so tasty that I went back for 1/8, and just in time too got almost the last of it.

I just looked on Seedfinders, and it looks like the strain is still alive: http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Chocolope/DNA_Genetics_Seeds/

Let me know if external links are not ok...

Never heard of this breeder, but perhaps an option for auto choc?

I've had a couple of days to ponder this impossible question, but here are some favorites
  • Romulan and Space Romulan, kind of like dank passion-fruit and guava. And really good head stone too.
  • Purple Kush! 'nuff said.
  • Blueberry. (Indica) and many of her children and grandchildren. Delicious!
  • Grape Crush. Invite the whole block to the party, 'cause as soon as you open the jar everyone will know it. Not a party stone though, waves of dreamy psychedelia follow every sensation as you melt into your couch/tub/partner/whatever
  • Bubba Kush! Also 'nuff said.
  • Durban Poison- Spicy with a hint of Sambouka. Lovely for an upbeat and creative day.
  • The Thai stick and Cambodian.. Just remembering the smell makes me so high...cannabis goddess, please send me a taste of 40 years ago!
Oh my! This list could go on and on!
