I haven’t seen many growers using these Lechuza self watering pots, I’m been totally sold on them. They say self watering but I think that’s a bit disingenuous as you still have to water your girls. This is my fourth run on these and they’ve all produced big girls with little or no pop corn bud.

This is the 16litre version which holds 13litres of medium and 3 litres of water which is handy for my nutrient regime and watering of 3 litres a day once established. They have a removal inner tray with holes for the roots to penetrate and access/dangle into the water lying underneath, semi irrigation style system. The bonus is that you can’t overfill with water because you have a float gauge and you always know when your girls are thirsty. It has a removal bottom plug for those that want to water to run off.

The 16l job which is what I’ve been using is 30x30x30 at £58 as I accidentally bought the high gloss option, the standard option is £45 they do smaller sizes of 1litre and 5litre at £12 and £35.

They come supplied with an outer pot which the the black pot shown fits into. If you look closely you’ll see two built in handles for easy lifting.

I haven’t came across these before either. How do they work? Is it pumped from res to the top like a Wilma or does it drain water out slowly like the kranky method? Or it it neither? I’m intrigued and need too know!! Haha

There's no pumps or anything, the raised grey inserts sits inside the black pot which creates a void of 3litres. Fill the pot up with medium and for the first 2 weeks you water the soil as normal until the roots have reached the grey insert. The corner off the pot houses the float gauge and access to water the reservoir. Take the cap of the float and pour in your water/nutes, which then go directly to the bottom of the container.

The benefit is that the root ball always has access to water/nutes if and when needed, it's impossible to over water.

Yea.. same principal as autopots but with an individual res for each plant. This is the type of thing I wish I had space to try lol hand watering can become a bit of a chore at times.. do u do all your plants in these m8?

I haven't used anything else so far, I read an article about a a 40year old house wife who discovered that they were perfect for cannabis cultivation and swore she wouldn't use anything else after the results she got. I thought that was a good reason to buy them and I haven't been disappointed.
