I have read a number of times that bud rot is most due to airflow rather than RH.

I would go by the VPD Chart.
For the last couple of weeks of flower I had RH at 60% and plants seemed happier than at 40-50%.

Cheers mate, after 1 night in the sohum, everything apart from 1 is sitting bolt upright. I think success with the sohum will be matching the right pot size compared to plant size and length of grow so they don't use the natural nutes up before they finish.

I'll be trying other organic substrate options over the next few months to see what works best for me.
This guy is also doing a grow in Sohum soil

Saying the same thing about the pot size... needs to be a big pot to last the full grow. Thought you would be interested in the journal.

Cheers mate, I'll have a look now... I think photos would need about a 30ltr pot to go start to finish with no amendments. Im going to try a few size pots and different time length strains and starting in small pots for a week or too before transplanting into the sohum... Its way too hot to plant directly into anyway... I have a rough testing plan drawn up to find my sweet spot... The sweetspot for me being, water only start to finish, zero flush required... Healthy, tasty natural.
I'm utterly blown away by it so far.. All of my current lot are now transplanted into it and I can't believe the growth... I did a massive defoliate of everything yesterday and 2 hours later they had recovered and were pointed skyward...
Also blown away by the new viparspectra p1000 I got... I'm gonna retire the hps for the p2000 or 4000 as soon as I can afford it.

Do the ona things work?
Sorry mate I missed the notification, I just seen this now as I’m going back through the thread:

yeah they’re pretty decent. They have loads of products too. I’ve used the blocks and the gel and rubbed it into my extraction pipes in the past but tbh if your carbon filter is on point then there’s really no need for this. I now have the Ona mister/diffuser and only tend too put it on if the tent door is open for an extended period of time or when I’m harvesting. They are VERY useful for the latter. I also got some plug in ozone generators that work quite well too, plus I got one those big ozone generators in case I get an emergency smell problem. But tbh, the most efficient and most safest of these methods is the Ona mister.
