Uk and Europe guerrilla grow community.

Scandinavia. 58N. Rather cool and very short summers. Sometimes just enough rain but more often too much rain. Last year was nothing but rain and cool weather. I had 12 plants. Didn't do so great.

It's a lot of work. First I put down weed blocking fabric. Then lay a tarp on top. Poke holes in the tarp bottom so excess water will run out the bottom. Carried about 60 bags of soil down a dirt path and through the woods into an open field.
Put the soil down on the tarp. Pull up the sides and use paracord to secure it.

I use slug killing pellets
Copper pipe for slug collar
Deer repellant that's composed of blood
Pyrethrin for aphids
Diatomaceous earth for crawling insects
Pellet fertilizer
Weed blocking fabric on top of the soil and then use dead grass from the previous year to blend it in with the surroundings.

Later will be a manual bilge pump and hose for watering. Last but no least, a game cam in a nearby tree that has a sim card and sends me pictures and videos of any activity, directly to a email account or a SMS to my phone.

That's how I do it!
Wow that’s amazing! I’m a one man operation so it’s impossible for me too do all what your found. I’ll definitely take use some of those ideas when prepping the site. Especially the camera idea, that’s genius! When and what are you going too plant this year?

It's hard by yourself. This is my first year with a partner. You can do exactly what I did but maybe not so much dirt. That's how I used to do it. Solo. But save your dirt for the next year, just add some lime to raise the PH. Maybe even add some fertilizer in the Autumn to help with next year.

The game cam is a great idea. It will send a MMS picture immediately, of any activity at your site. So if it's found by rippers, you get an idea of what they look like, and if it's police, you never return to the grow. Go back after a few months and get your game camera.

As for strains. I have tried many over the years but I will do a fast buds strain this year. I grew Gorilla Cookies indoors and ran it with coco and PH perfect nutrients. I had around 75cm plants in 5 weeks. Super impressed.

Yo @GMAW I'm surprised you're not going with varieties tried n tested for outdoors... unless you've 4an the Fbuds outside?.. some just can't handle any dampness/rain once buds have formed... I got better results from sativa dom plants for sure, out of 6 diff strains it wass the taller sativa doms that didn't mould... gonna be legendary either way!..
Jus saying!..
Easy now!..

Morning. First time posting. I’m already prepping my site for this year, it’s a south-facing slope in South England within the m25.
The site itself is a 5 minute walk from my house and less than 50m from a well used footpath, just next to an empty paddock. Although that might seem like I’m asking for trouble, it is surrounded on 3 sides by Hawthorn and is accessed through brambles. In this densely populated area you have to hide in plain sight and in previous summers I’ve had success growing in the gardens of empty bungalows awaiting demolition!
I have already started to prep the site with the loppers, cutting away overhanging branches and using the small hawthorn saplings to create a natural-looking fence around any potential entry points, I have no doubt that if someone is determined to find my spot they will but I try to do all I can to dissuade wanderers. The smell of my plants could attract attention, but the prevailing wind should carry the scent away from the footpath.
Another problem could be deer so I have been and will continue to spray a potent-smelling liquid around the site when I visit (always make sure to take a pee around the perimeter when I’m there too!)
I am currently sorting a water source for the spot which will be a big barrel collecting the plentiful rainfall caught on a tarp which I will rig to a tree. I am going to use Blumat automatic drippers to distribute to 5 gallon fabric pots which will mean infrequent visits once everything is in place.
As mentioned already, the biggest problem here is the unpredictable weather. Our maritime climate means that we can have weeks of dry glorious sunshine interrupted by a week of grey and mould-inducing pea-soupers. The best strategy for dealing with this is to succession sow 1-3 seeds every week or two from last week of March to the first week of June. I know a few of those sowings will finish in good weather.
As for genetics, I managed to get hold of FullDuplex’s Bobby’s Widow which is a fast finishing dense Indica and also regular so I intend on chucking some pollen about. I’ve also got some Dutch Passion stuff; auto Euforia, Blueberry, Ultimate, CBD White Widow; some FastBuds Orange Sherbet, Cheese, Sour D and Amnesia.

Has anyone grown Top Tao seeds? I’ve got 10 regular Demon Tao Autos Which I planned to use for the sativa dominant pollen but information on the breeder is sparse! I think they’re from Czech?!

I'm thinking of building a few of these as I need to order a load of fence boards anyways,
Can get old windows easy enough too, I've also got a load of those slow release gas hinges laying about

Seen these today and thought they would be easy to make,

Could I grow in my garden using these?

The price of some of these cold frames is unbelievable,
it's basically fence boards and windows,

Might quit my job and start selling coldframes now lol
Could make one in less than an hour if materials where there, haha

Yo... @MrSkeen good to have you on board, another person with a solid plan... hooe it all goes well for ya... I'm jus thinking outloud,
but wouldn't it be easier to turn the soil and add ammendments now before planting?.. or is it for ease of watering and the blumats?.. ya stand to lose a fair bit of kit if it gets compromised (found)...
I've used a handheld auger which can be folded up,
31ZHX-BMecL._AC_SY780_.jpg

Then filled the holes with soil and slow release ferts before with some success Other than a couple of long dry spells I aint needed to go out to the spot as all the rain has provided all the water I needed!... And there are peeps on here that have grown and bred with Tao autos, which ya might wanna look into, if ya got regs and auto regs on the same plot how ya gonna know what's pollinated what, you'll be forever checking if plants from those seed are photo, fast photo or straight autos!.. anyways keep us posted and the best of luck matey...
Easy now!..

And Yo... @THE BEAR those cold frames are great for hardening off plants to stay outside but they are proper low!.. ya may get a tidy scrog in there possibly?.. ya best bet is a greenhouse lined with shading material if its gonna be overlooked and raised beds, have ya looked into companion planting too?.. or one of those polytunnels as has been pointed out before?..
Easy now!..

It’s great to have another point of view. You’re right about the loss of kit if it gets found. The main advantages I can see with the fabric pots is being able to hide them amongst other plants without having those plants compete for water and nutrients. I can also sow the seed into the fabric pots at home, nurture the seedlings, then carry them to the spot when they’ve grown to 3-4 nodes. I’ve always sown the seed in the spot the plant will finish because I’ve read that transplant shock triggers early flowering for autos (I’ve never tested this myself though and I wonder if people just transplant too late).
If I was to sow direct at the location then I think slugs would eat the seedlings, especially if they’re in the ground. A cheap biodegradable 1 gallon fabric pot would be good, then you could grow on at home and plant in the ground at the location. What do you think about this? How would you suggest getting young autos to the spot or would you sow direct and protect them somehow?
I’m only growing autos and I’m only growing the Bobbys widow regulars so all the seed will be (for example) Auto Cheese x Bobby’s Widow. I’m expecting a huge genetic variety next year which I want to selectively breed with. I’m going to grow the Bobby’s Widow discreetly at home so that I can collect the pollen and then take it to the plot and hand-pollinate the fems.
I’m going to research and think carefully about the auger.

@THE BEAR the only advantage that I can see to growing in a cold frame is that you can get an early start (end of March to end of April). Then you’d have to take the lid off for flowering otherwise the humidity in there would be too high. With most cold frames you build them against a wall which isn’t an ideal place for flowering cannabis as there isn’t very good airflow and you’ll get mould.
A good option to get an early start though!
