Photoperiod UGORG DiscoBiscuits and Blues under DIY Cobs and 315 CMH

Soooo, you don't like tying girls up but you're OK with chopping their heads off? Right :smoking:.

No pressure mate, do as you please, it was just a friendly suggestion since you already started some heavy training and I really like tying up topped girls :pop:.

Glad to hear about the CMH lights :d5:. How are they looking compared to your COB setup?

When you say tie out the girls mate, do you mean basically try and get each cola into a position with clear direct light?

Or....

Tie branches horizontally to promote side shoots to grow straight up into colas?

Bit of both dude. They were getting quite light green so I've upped the feed strength slightly. I cans ee that has greened them out more. But still a little light. And also some fast new growth since starting leaf tucking and then defol

Training. Hmmm. I TOTALLY AGREE that would help mate, but I don't know if I will. I'm gonna be weird in public now and say I don't like tying down plants! Poor little things :crying:

Maybe a will tie them out gently, but only a touch. I really just want to get a feel for what photos do on their own, as no previous experience. Maybe I will tie half and leave the other half. Maybe! Excuse me mate, I am rather weird in some ways. Saying that, I have time to fook around so sod it, I'll try a bit of training dude :pass:

315 CMH is here and OMG it's like the sun! Very impressed with the brightness and nice warm slightly red colour. Looking forward to getting the girls under that next week.
if you running a res and dont have to top feed them net them up its gentle enough and will give you a nice even canopy or just let them go naturel so you can really see what they grow like best way to choose a mum really next round go to town on the bondage

If you look at the 2nd photo down above, could I pull those two main tops horizontal to get the little shoots you can see to grow into colas/buds? Or is it too late for that?
not too late if thats what you want to do just bring them level with the lowers and thet will all rise at the same height
:pass:

Awesome grow so far! Sorry to just barge in with links, but I tend to freak out when I hear "digital timer". I melted one, years ago. Granted, I had a magnetic 600hps and a 400 on it at the time, but it WAS rated at 12amp inductive load. Still fried it.
These Intermatics are just about bulletproof.

As @stoney T said, it's never too late if you're still vegging :2cents:. And yeah, that's what I meant, spread the dominant colas out horizontally, to give more light to the smaller shots/interior of the plant.

Like I did with my Double Grapes:

Thanks dude I ordered something similar I think. A heavy duty mechanical timer with built in contractor apparently? It's all new to me as only used cobs before.

Cheers for the link buddy.

Thanks mate, I've not got much experience with tying. I have usually just leaf tucked. Will give it a go this morning.
