Should I pull these fans too (1 my fingers lifting in pic) so the stuff below it can get light and grow or anything else I should pull that I am not seeing yet? Also how does the new growth look to y’all from where looked rusty before in older stuff??

Also just noticed this new stuff is growing all twisted from so much pressure and weight on it as it grew from upper fans it was growing into from underneath so let me know if or what I need to do or remove to fix it??

From images I have seen doesn’t seem like the early fan leaves from node 2 that just grow straight out sideways won’t become bud site and it’s the lower (below the fans) where multiple leaves growing from same branch that will get bigger as it gets light and grows upwards that will make buds!
Is that right? If so let me know if I should pull these fans in question?!? Thx

Nug won't come of the main stem for quite a while, anything that will become bud will be a branch first. As the plant goes into flower the branches get shorter till they're on the main stalk.

But I'd leave them alone a while. Train & recover...
