twenty20 Twenty20 Mendocino Grow&show 2022

I found some tiny bugs crawling on her so I sprayed with insecticide soap. I have been over watering her so I have been letting her dry out a few days. I just watered her some yesterday. I think it's a combination of that and htemp. stress tbh. This is my first grow and I'm in a greenhouse, not inside.
Are the bugs on the leaves or hopping around the soil? If you have fungus gnats in the soil that can really affect the growth. If that’s what they are, spraying won’t really help. If you’re not sure take a small piece of duct tape lay flat on the soil facing up see if you catch any bugs

I will have to try that.

@Mañ'O'Green and @Twenty20 Adam Update (#14)

Chopped my other Mendocino Skunky Garlic on day 124. 29.5" or 75 cm. Sticky like a tar pit. And a heavenly scent.

You shouldn't have an issue with leaves getting burnt from sunlight. I agree that you're probably overwatering them The pot should get noticeably light before you try watering again and another good thing to do with a tiny plant and a big pot like that is to just water lightly right around the plant and let the rest of the soil dry up a bit more

IMPO Watering in a small circle around a Autoflowering plant is a mistake for three reasons. A cannabis tap root can grow 9 inches in three days. It will not grow into dry soil and this will stunt the growth. Microbes that feed the plant will die or go dormant in dry soil. This impedes the nutrition to the plant when it needs it the most in veg. Soil or Coco can become hydrophobic -repels water. This can form pockets in the pot that do not re-wet easily and likely will not support life.

What you need to learn about watering will come with practice. Here are the basic rules: Never let the soil dry out. Soil and or coco can become hydrophobic if allowed to dry. This means it repels water. This in turn will create dry pockets in the soil and the roots and microbes will die there. If your soil - coco have accidentally dried out use a surfactant to help re-wet it. I like yucca powder. Don't let soil remain soggy by watering too much too often. Root rot, damping off, molds, fungus gnats and other problems start in soggy soil. When you do water water the entire pot. How to learn when to water starts before you plant the seed. Fill your container with fresh soil/coco and weigh it (heft it) this is the lightest weight and consider it a dry pot. Now slowly water until the soil/coco will no longer absorb the water and run-off begins; weigh the pot (heft it) this is the maximum water, the wettest the pot can get. The difference between wettest and driest is the maximum water weight, for ease of explanation lets just say the water weighs 20 pounds. When the pot loses 10 pounds (half of the water weight) it is time to water again. Slowly wet ALL of the soil until run-off begins. There is an art to watering.
