Hahaha!! Oh that strain. Yeah your plants look really small for 37 days. We just finished an absolutely fantastic round of that strain I think we had about 60-70 of them And they turned out gorgeous. None of them were photoperiod. We're planning on running another R&D round soon. I'm sorry they're pushing the edge of your preferred time limit. Because we make our autos "from scratch" by converting photo periods over it usually takes us quite a while to shave the time down to the preferred 70 day range. I think we harvested ours at 80 or 85 days (I need to check with the crew).
@Waira is running the same strain and I believe his took a little longer than normal to start flowering as well. I've noted that most of the AFN guys are much more interested in the faster strain so I will start trying to be more clear on which ones tend to be on the fast side versus the slow side. Another issue we have to deal with which I explain to
@Waira already Is that we also have a big client base of commercial outdoor growers and they want big yielding plants And tend to care less about the extra 10 or 20 days if they can get a 6-ft plant versus a 3-ft plant. It's tough to get 70 day autos outdoors and still yield over 8 oz. Tough but not impossible! It's actually our goal is to hone these things into appease both crowds! Have patience with your plants as I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised by the outcome. Have a fantastic day my friend!
@RustyStarbuck72 mate has it been cool in the tent lately? just curious,... Mine did the opposite, she jump up fast in veg', made some silly huge fans which I had to remove due to outright smothering, then after bloom, she really slowed the stretch down,... My bad on not doing LST sooner, better selective pruning too. Also, the soil is a new tinkering mix of KIS Organics nute pack and some Terp Tea Bloom, which may be playing a part in things here.... my attempt was to up the PK ratio in this near-water-only soil.
Adam, got the PM, I'll chew on that more later-
I think you can satisfy both sides of market, certainly there is call for both short and long cycle/higher yielder pheno's and/or cultivars! The home grower tent folks generally want faster pheno's, to keep the stages in better sync' for practical reasons, and many do love variety over quantity...
Of the "shorter cycle" autos I've seen that were blown up to 7++oz, most were longer veg'ing and longer full cycle by a couple weeks, in general... A while back we had this cat, Grey Bear, a hydro Master who could do
unnatural things with typical cultivars! Even the breeders (Short Stuff in particular) were floored at the monsters he grew, 700-900g plants-
To date I have no idea how he delayed blooming like he did, as it wasn't just sheer speed in growth rate that did it...
So many other factors in play as well, so it's had to judge with grower-to-grower evaluations...
The OD commercial auto growers, are they starting theirs in GH's? Cool conditions are a real drag on auto's, as you know, particularly outside...
