Trizkits Day 71ish. #2 on the home stretch now. Guessing about 25-28 days left. Growing really well. Some fading/rust on a few of the older fan leaves at the top. Bumped up the PKs a hair just in case but I think is just early stages of genetic senescence. Not too concerned. Smell is awesome, not getting too many spice notes but got some gas with a mild citrus going now.

#1 coming along slower still. Guessing 5-6 weeks left. She started throwing a lot of three finger leaves. I either stressed her out from heavy defoliation or some ruderalis traits poking out. But doesn't seem to effect production. She's still a little more congested than I care for. Should have been on top of it a lot more frequently through weeks 4-6. #2 needed such little work, didn't even realize how overgrown she got. Also downside to avoiding training. I agree, if the strawberry aroma isn't at least 75% consistent, then best leave that part out... You know how peep's read into that, some will buy on that part alone, then get pisses it didn't show, or wasn't really "strawberry" like a proper Strawberry Fields/Cough can be...
...Hard to tell on mine yet, she is stanky and does have some fruity/berry notes now in veg, so maybe I'll get lucky! She'll be sizeable for sure,. sex has shown but not blooming yet... a late/long cycle pheno for sure.

Will you be working on speed as well? I have to chip my 2cents in on that by saying it's a big deal to keep auto's well under 12 weeks, 10 at most IMO, or they lose the main advantages they have over photo's, especially faster cycle cultivars and clones... I see breeders like SSSC not even bothering to try, 11-13 week auto's are really best for outdoor short season runs, and lose that "plus side" when tent grown...
For myself, I reject out of hand any auto that runs 10+ weeks, I don't have the time in my short season to drag a grow out like that unless I can boot her outside full time to finish. I did that with SSSC Creeper auto, knowing this would be the likely scenario... She truned out fine, but I'm not going to run Creeper again regardless,...

Im always leaning towards the up to ten weeks strains but I must admit the whiskey was worth waiting for compared to everything else non Twenty20 on that run that went long, one of the other strains would have run 14 weeks had I not got bored lol.

Speed! Yes my friend. That is always on our minds. When we make autos "from scratch" they tend to start out on the longer side and as we work them through the generations we select the fastest reversal/donors and then for the receivers we usually select for potency, smell, structure, etc. I will say coming from our side it's tough to please both parties (tent growers vs outdoor commercial growers) the outdoor guys like the plants to get big and yield big. What they don't like is a field full of knee high 65 day autos. We have found the sweet spot for them to be 80-90 days because plants can get 5-7 ft tall and yield 4-16 ounces. Of course most tent growers love 65-75 day autos which can be "trigger happy".

I would guess you got a phenotype that is leaning on the longer side of things if she still isn't full.in flower yet. We did have some quick phenos in there but she's early in the breeding program and still in R&D. I will say she was the team favorite (tied with our Ogre Berry King Band auto) in a recent r&d run of 12-13 varieties. We'll shave a few weeks off the vedge and get them more consistent before releasing for sure!

It must be hard trying to please both camps.. The tent growers want the moon on a stick to lick and want it now but at the rate you guys are developing Autos you will have something for everyone in no time :smoking:

...aaaw I know you already know all this, I'm just putting it out there for folks to contemplate and digest... T20M is providing a very rare window into the minds of a company that still operates like this! You my friend are literally alone on that mountain here, no other rep'/owner/breeder/etc -- does what you do
here...
The way you're building your auto's up is smart, as there's definitely room for both short and long cycle auto's, like the right tool for the right job. Long cycle types can compete with the various types of "fast versions" and true guerilla speed queen type photo's... I think you have an edge there already because most of your line-up is outdoor hardy as is, and still perform well inside -
Chasing speed, aromatics and potency is no simple thing either!
As a consumer, it makes for a bigger menu to chose from for those who want or need short season OD plants, or even tent runners going for bigger yields worthy of the longer cycle time = win-win!
Did we talk about fast versions, F1FV, and the like and if T20M is considering them?

I ran 2 other grow n shows along side and barely got a notice from either breeder all show. Is it you that replies on insta as well Adam?

@Waira I actually preferred the longer girl that time round for harder nugs. I posted a few way back in the thread.. But here ya go, I don't need any excuses to show off a bit and they went down a storm on my insta lol :smoking:

Considering she's been on a 12/12 cycle for the last 5 weeks, she's not looking too bad, she's not the prettiest, but man does she smell good I stuck her in a dark tent yesterday and all being well (or if I can be arsed) she should be coming down tomorrow

Some of the buds have turned a nice pinky/purple colour

Hey Now,
Tragedy struck the garden last night. I was rearranging the lights when the driver assembly fell into my precious Glue Sniffer! Oh man!! Lost one big branch for sure, that’s hung in the drying tent. Then 3 more, almost the whole left side was broken but not completely detached. I tied them up quickly and am hoping they’ll get along enough to finish.
