Turning a shoddy shed into a groovy ganja growroom

Looking good @Bud Wiser UK a great start, Glad to hear your insulation is working well dude. It was one of the points i was really interested in seeing how you managed it being completely separated from the house. Top Job sir on the build can't wait to see that main room in action...I have even more shed envy...:slap:

Well, the Groovy Ganja Growroom may be finished, but it's whats goin' on inside that counts ...

Outside, it's freezing, so the insulation definitely works.
Plants are 2-3 weeks in.
Can't wait to fire-up the main chamber.
they look great, and you fired up a fun thread

Yeah, well chuffed with the insulation @Slater
Last week when the freeze started, I was curious to see if the roof of the shed might be a giveaway.
Happily, the roof was covered in frost, white as all the surroundings, but inside was a snug 24C.
That for me was the acid test ... a big giveaway would have been a frost-free roof on a cold morning ... noticeable methinks.

The next problem I have though is ventilation. I haven't even started up the main room yet, but I can see a plume of exhausted hot air being noticeable coming from a shed. I have a pal who's supposed to be making me a sheet metal 'cowl' .. a sort of condenser-funnel to drive the exhausted fumes down on the outside of the shed allowing the moisture and heat in the air time to condense and thus dissipate. The difference between theory and practice, and getting someone to follow-through though are all obstacles for the New Year methinks.

Methinks correctly.........and a nice warm roof, brings swarms of little birdies for miles to roost; just love to have a heated foot rest.

Dead giveaway....methinks.

Talking of ventilation .. I have another issue.
Sort of.

The main growroom is 6ft x 6ft x 6ft = 216 Cu Ft = 6 Cu Mtrs. roughly.

My extractor fan shifts around 420 Cu Mtrs per hour = 7 Cu Mtrs per minute. (low setting).
Intake fan moves only 240 Cu Mtrs per hour = 4 Cu Mtrs per minute. (high setting).

So, essentially, I can replace all the air in the chamber in just under 2 minutes.
However, I suffer from the opposite side of the problem facing most indoor growers .... heat.
Not getting rid of it, but hanging on to it..!

I'm not ventilating constantly, I want air-replenishment, not a wind-tunnel.
I also have the use of a dehumidifier, so no need for humidity-control-venting either.

Question: 4 plants all flowering, 6 Cu Mtrs of space, how often and for how long do I need to vent for to maximise the use of internal heat and air, yet keep the plants supplied with fresh CO2 throughout the grow?

Puzzler innit.

Edit: I've got 5 mins per hour in my head for some reason. Unscientifically-proven and came to me in a dream. Whaddya think? Looneytunes or Mantovani?
