time to invest in a ppm meter? assuming you don't have one, or just didn't use it.... seeing those high numbers would have sent off a red flag that gf gave you wrong dosage.

yah i dont use ppm meters because i know the ppm of the water source and the ppm of the solution so i can do some rough math and get it within like 2-5% of the relative starting ppm. from there i just top off with water if needed because i dont want to burn them... some how, they look green and happy today. they did have a sligh N def this week with purple stems so maybe they took up the extra nutes and decided they wanted them. good thing i don't use secondary additives in my veg solution or they would be toast. i will be keeping an eye on them but i dont think i did any damage.

IMO with hydro... EC/PPM meter is a must. Without a buffering medium like soil (promix, coco, etc included) I could never trust my gut on how much food the plant is needing. I'll adjust with each rez change sometimes, as I can adjust a few different elementals in my formula. Glad they look to be OK this time.

well at the time it was either a ppm pen or my tables..... i chose the tables and a ph pen over a ppm meter.

thats cool... gotta do what ya gotta do. Hopefully the next item on the list is a ppm meter, as I do think it's vital, but not more vital than something to grow in.

yah i just picked up coco mats and some more smart pots. after this next harvest i will pick up a ppm pen i just dont wan to dip into my "real money"
