hello tshirt, i'm about to either get 4 240 blackstars or 4 180 GrowLEDhydro led's or 2 of each. there wanting me to get 2 of each and do a side by side grow. glh is just sending me his lights to grow with. but if i do the side by side there wanting me to divide the room and that messes with my ventilation. so who knows maybe 4 free glh 180's. can i ask what height from the plants are you running the blackstars. i do want to really cut down on elec usage and the 4 blackstars with some cfl's puts me well under 1000 watts and glh's with cfl's puts me right around 1000 watts and after running 2400 watts last grow i want to tone it down some.

I keep my LEDs between 6-14 inches depending on how my ladies act. Watch out for light bleaching where your main cola will turn white from light burns. I'll be posting pics a little later today if I get a chance. I'm about to purchase a 4th 240w blackstar and start running hydroponic setups with 3-5 gallon bubble buckets. I will be placing 3 under each light so I'm thinking 3 gallon. If you want a cool even canopy I suggest placing 6 2gal smart pots under each 240w unit. I'd use his lights if they were given to me but don't buy the lights from that other guy it's mostly hype.

thanks man, my main reason going in the led direction was elec usage and because of my hydro set up i would need 4 lights. i'm still thinking 4 blackstars even though i can get the other leds for free

What is your hydrosetup? I'm wondering because I'm about to run bubbleponics and can't get my closet temp below 80 for the most part and I want to do individual buckets or some 10-20 gal rubbermaids. I can't get a res chiller going because of design. Do you think it's still doable with res temps around 78-82F?

the 3 sch were harvested a week ago with the following weights
125g wet/28.2g dry
83.1g wet/20.9g dry
101.5g wet/ 26.2g dry
grand total 309.6g wet/75.3g dry

The sch were a pain in the ass to grow indoors and i suggest anyone that wants to grow them use a hydro system and some patience...... they require so much in nutrients that it is retarded to read because they are nutrient sensitive at the same time. plus the pheno's were not very stable as ive seen with other growers. I did end up with around 20 feminized seeds that would be great outdoors maybe someday they get used by someone?

I will be harvesting my pj crop next week but none of it turned purple at all. i burnt one plant with heat and killed it a few days ago but i got it in a jar and it held enough humidity to cure still. its retardedly potent stuff and i think the end product will be fantastic. the octomom is so large that her tentacles are trying to touch the ground under the weight of the bud. i will get some pictures once i stop being lazy. i might post more when i come home for work, which i found out today will be happening in october. i am planning on purchasing a new 240w led unit to have 4 total and run a rotating crop that every 4 weeks pops out 12 autos in 2 gallon containers. converted my pollen chamber into a seed/veg tent and put 200w of t5ho in there and think i will add one more 100w unit to finish it out. after i get a few funds in here soon i will grab another 4" inline whisper fan and a carbon scrubber just in case they hit an early bloom and by week 4 they get a bit smelly in there. all and all i think ive dialed in my rotation and will be adding a few new nutrients to my grow from the fox farm lineup. i will use 2 of the powder nutrients. They will be Bestie Bloom and Cha Ching. With autos i dont think open sesame is necessary. designed a hydro system but being in the south i decided against it as a tank chiller and 50 gallons of fluid are too high on my risk meter and the buckets would get gross from the temps giving root rot. I will stick with this setup and just expand it to 6 lights if all goes well and just pop in a new batch every week and a half. if i get it dialed in like that then i plan to stock up about a years worth for myself and stop for a while and just enjoy some life. i can always start it back up whenever since i will have an extensive seed bank.i feel that the best know when to call it quits and get low for a while.

I had both of my computers die on me and I have harvest photos of the pj's. I ended up with aprox 60g/dry will give total weight once dry. Just dropped over 600 at newegg and it all shipped yesterday so maybe I'll have time to build it this weekend if it all comes in.
