Grow Mediums Trouble With Auto pots

What's up bandit!!!!
Long time. Glad to see you around.
How close are your lights?

Roark!;Wzup, afn fam?! My lights are about 20" away. I think it's the extreme pH fluctuations I've experienced since switching to bloom nutes. Anywhere from 4.3 to 6.7
Hope I can dial things in before it kills my yield, but either way, I think my next round with auto pots will go smoother

ah sorry I thought you were using full strength have you posted in live help also that ph range is what I use for coco I thought soil had a higher ph :pass:
Yeah, I thought so, too, but the guy from Auto Pot USA sent me an email stating that 5.8 is the best setting. Last night I went back up to 6.2 That low pH setting doesn't seem to be working at all. I've had a few recommendations to cut the nute strength in half, so I took that step also. Thanks for looking in on me, bro!

Hey, I used Sea Grow last season and it doesn't have any calcium in it as I recall. Although I see you're adding molasses and epsom, you might want to add another source of cal.

Not saying this will solve the symptoms you see, but it's something to be mindful of. Some guys here say that Epsom is good for short term fixes but tricky over the long term as it is a salt, and might contribute to salt build up in the medium. May be better to go with a standard Cal mag instead if you've got one. Calcium is an important nutrient for flowering.

Good luck though man, they don't look too far out of whack.

I just started using Epsom salt regularly 2 grows ago, and I am already considering cutting it loose. I think your response was the decision maker. Thanks for jumping in and throwing advice my way!

Hey @ThaGreenBandit
So I have had something similar happen on numerious occasions. well it looked similar.
It happens when I switch from transition to bloom. I, as u know, can drop my t5's right on top of my scrog. However after much reading and deliberation I found it to be a p & k issue. Brought on by light intensity. Cause I droo my lights much closer in bloom. Well, I use too. The problems seem to stop after I raised the lights. Didnt add anything extra. I tried chasing the ph ghost and that left me all messed up.
Just my two cents. Trying to help make it more difficult. Look at grow weed easy. That's were I stumbled on it.
.

Basically they just didn't have enough p k stored up to deal with the issue. Again, they just looked similar. I have no other ideas.

It's never been an issue before, but at this point, I'm not going to rule it out as a possibility either. How much further do you suggest I move the lights from the canopy? They're at about 23" at this point

Think it depends on what they had befor. I think once they are in fulll bloom and no longer freaking out about if they are veg or bloom they can handle the lights closer and start puuting on the sun screen. Like maybe the p k is being used for other shit right now. And the yellow is cause you cut out their N for bloom phase. They'll catch up. Their in adolescence. that's just how I avoid chasing the ph phantoms. but shit dude I lost 2 battles so I may not know much. Lmao

And also,
If you havent moved the light maybe you still should. But one issue at a time.
In my rez ph floats alll over. Then settles down. Give it 3-4 days to marinate. Keep an eye on it but hold back a sec on amending. You can still adjust after and go from there. Even hydro takes a couole of days to adjust. If I understand right, that that's kinda what your doing.

If your still growing in soil....I will humbly shut the hell up. But really you should try coco hydro.

Okay so I reread the whole journal. Rez with soil. I stand by my statements. Hope I didn't confuse the issues.
