... I dig seeing what they can do given unrestricted root space! Your top and tie method works so well to control height, the plant seems to stop trying going up, and says -"fine wide it is!"....

Pic is actually a bit deceiving...main tips are well over 3 feet high, closer to 4 now. They only stop trying to grow up, since i keep tying them back down.

... how long before blooming starts you think? ... oh yeah, just curious, how long before you see sexing usually? The Cannalope, Psico' and Crystal Candy all showed sex last week-- week 6,... Atomic is continuing to keep up in height, and finally throwing branches; she reminds me of my friends Lamby I grew, a lot of vertical first, then the arms stretch out! They got over 3' before they started and late to show sex as well. I think next season, I'll consider doing some topping! I'm over the monster main cola thing, novelty and all,.. also more rot prone! But at least with Atomic, we'll see how she likes to shape on a smaller scale,....

The girls should hit preflower trigger in 1-4 weeks depending on strain with 2 weeks being average....2 more weeks of veg!! I usually see preflower signs between 30 and 60 days. Ive had a few in years past that show no signs until preflower begin, but that is very, very rare.
The biggest reason i top and train is yield and stealth, if these plants get over 7 feet they are visible by hundreds of cars daily(and i have had several get rediculously huge), and then the thieves come! With sufficient time to recover, the branches become well formed enough you would swear they are all main tops!
