Howdy Growers!

these days I start most of my plants in little solo cups and later transplant them, also do the same with my clones.
I was thinking that it makes the most sense to transplant right before the lights go off to let the plant then sit in the dark for its normal period of time just so the roots can do their thing.

I wonder whether anyone else here has suggestions when to transplant.

Thanks!

I do mine whenever I remember but I like to take clones right before lights off to let starches accumulate but idk how much any of it matters.

Thanks for chiming in. That's my thinking too but that's just gut feeling and no scientific to it. Could also be they my 4hrs lights off really doesn't do that much in the grand scheme of things.

After 15 yrs, I've never give that a thought, since I germ and veg under 24/0, transplanting at 1 week under the same. Never noticed any deficit that had me considering changing. IMO, during seedling and veg time, why turn off the energy supply to the bud makers?

i start all my youngsters in solo cups and i pot them up whenever they need it in light or dark i haven't seen any difference or noticed any effects either way
