This is the last pic of Riddley, Sept 5, next day she went MIA.........

Life goes on, with us or without us. Last week a couple pals from the village plowed slush ice to camp with Riddley's replacement.

Fall's children all but gone.......

Remnants of russet are all that remain from a season of color.

Colder temps have built an ice dam in the river sending water down the overflow channel.....

Looking down channel at ice pilling up at slough mouth.....

Slush floating by. Under surface you'll see a fuzzy grey mass growing up from bottom. Freezing on top, freezing on the bottom. Water getting super chilled moving thru cold air temps...
