Outdoor trailanimal 2020

@trailanimal do you have insect problems in your outdoor weed grows or does the frozen climate prevent them?
Lots of insects!, garden and greenhouse. Seems some kinda dynamic balance playing out. Insects that munch plants are around the entire grow. A short while after munchers show up, the predators appear. Birds, predatory and parasitic wasps, spiders and more spiders, dragonflies. Seems no single species can get a leg up. Never had a cannabis plant get ravaged by bugs. Most of my plants get a couple chews on, then nothing. Sometimes one plant in the grow will be an attractant, no others get chewed on. And after about mid veg chewed plant is left alone. Last summer was the hottest and longest I can remember. Never seen so many wasps. 24/0 they cruise around the cabin and in and around greenhouse picking off prey. I love watching them.
Seems the insects can hack cold. My only neighbor stop by awhile back. Winter clothes looking a tad shredded, complaining of the cold. I went to the porch, grabbed a down parka I wasn't using and brought it in for him. As soon as parky warms a little flies start dropping out of sleeves onto the floor. and they are beginning to move around. In from -40 and wake right up! I guess what I'm getting at...species adapted to here have no cold fear. I like the slightly longer growing season, but climate change can keep the bugs, lol.

hey hey! good to "see" ya. Are you able to be growing again?

Nice to see your photo there too, Trail!

"Able"... always been "able", :eyebrows: just risking my butt....

Def have plans, still have a bunch of LBH's reg haze-dominant beans.
Auto Jack Herer, Auto La Gasolina, and Semi-auto Thai Gold.

Will put some outside, somewhere, even if I can't bring them to harvest,

or let them seed and grow wild!!!!

Mr. @trailanimal I have a stoner request please. I really dig the designs that are made on wood stove exit pipes. The whiteish heat marks that show through the flat black color. If You see such a piece of art work and are able to take a pic. Oh and do you think that I should see a doc for this condition ?

They don't make em like this anymore:rofl: This beauty was manufactured in the 70's. Anyone else have a major household appliance with these kind chops?

Been a couple of tough weeks. Very cold, very wind chilly. Another pisscutter coming on. Big wind kicking up again, but air temp this morn is -20 instead of -40 to -60. My snogo is an easy start @-20! I'll be able to motor to woods for firewood today, hey hey!. Last couple of days been going out close to cabin cutting birch and pulling it home in small pull sled.
out the kitchen this morn...

Thanks @trailanimal your stove pipe maintenance is much better than the other pipes with the heat designs. I was reminiscing back to a day when the stove pipe also doubled as a tv of sorts. After a dooby I would stare at the pipe jamming to the radio drinking. The cool part for me is that I remember those times and the stove pipes random white cracks in the flat black outer metal even though it happened thirty plus years ago. Most of the crap on tv now causes me to glaze over with a case of immediate amnesia. Any favorites on the last grow ? It should be cured well now. :baked:
