Too early to LST?

It means that. Remove leaves and "branches" under the 4th node
That seems fairly drastic for an Auto Flowering Plant. It is a method I have used on Photoperiod plants.

LST is too much busy work for me. I just top at the 4th node and let them grow. I have done all of that manifolding and bondage and the yields are about the same as doing nothing other than topping. I am using kelp and fulvic acid as a foliar spray to break the apical dominance in my current Photoperiod grow. I have not used this method before now so time will tell.

How do you do that? By spraying the less dominate areas?

That's why im curious.
I mean, you could let it grow a bit larger and then remove the node, if not removed the node will eventually turn in to a cola but it will use a lot of energy to keep up with the rest of the plant and it will be a bit behind the rest of the colas when its time to harvest. Another thing is that the buds will be smaller than the main cola and develop more popcorn buds. (Obligatory, “im not an expreienced grower”)

@WildBill this is the first time I am using this method taught by Harley Smith. The Kelp has naturally occurring cytokines that when applied foliar tell the plant to make more flowering sites?

I have found that genetics plays a big role in this. I have had plants with wispy worthless buds on the lower 50% of the plant and then I have grown plants with good buds all the way to the bottom of the plant. I have good lights and Orca grow film so I get good light penetration to the bottoms of my plants.
