So im growing in a cuboard at the moment its still my first grow but its not ideal where it is as its in my bathroom so visitors who need the bathroom can see it!!!

Im currently using a 300w dual cfl and a 125w dual cfl im looking at buying a grow tent kit to get me properly started but only want to pay about £280 any sugestions on what type is ok to start with looking at 1m and under as im only going to be growing 2-3 at a time.

Most of the one's ive seen come with a 400w sunmaster dual lamp are they ok? also can i still use my CFL's with these kinda setup'?

I was thinking of putting the tent in my celler as there lots of room and is very dry in there with a fresh air Vent on the outside wall. Is this a bad idea?

:peace: Si

Hey there si. Great idea with the tent, I love tents. I have one from HTG with very little complaints, but I wouldn't get another one. These are cool. The Hydro Hut tents. http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/hydrohut-3x3-silver-edition-grow-room-p-3117.html

Also, these a THE best proces for quality I have ever seen for tents. Courtesy of Mr Piggy and gothamhydro>http://www.gothamhydroponics.com/growtents.html

Cellar's are good for keeping temps down as long as it isn't too cold down there. You say dry, too dry is no good you may end up needing a humidifier, maybe not. Otherwise the cellar or basement is my ideal spot I would like to put a tent. Unfortunately, I don't have either so closet it is.

Hope this helps and good luck.

i have a secret jardin 1mx1mx2m and its very good, no problems so far lots of ports good lightproofing and sturdy.
you can use anything in a tent same as a room cfl should be ok just if you have enough.

Safe Si, your cellar sounds fine. I have seen 1x1 grow tent on eBay for around £50 also a extractor fan and carbon filter (budget versions) will cost about the same so then you have £180 to spend on a light and quite a lot of choice. That's the route I would take rather than get a kit.

Yes, good point. Forgot to add that, there are no tent specific lights or anything. Whatever goes! :dance2:

Nice 1 for your comments ill hae a look about see what i can whip together carnt wait tho gona be alot more ideal for me to get my grow on :toke::peace:

I think a lot of growers expand if they can, I won't be happy until I'm running 800w of LED so I'm gonna have 2 rooms lol have you thought of keeping your small room for seedlings or veg?

I love secret jardin's.:stir: have had homebox,and couple of no-names. I stick to s.j.

i bought separate and would recommend that usually itll end up cheaper and you wont end up replacing half of the set if it isnt working well. just work out what your light needs are, what i always read is you should have atleast 3000lumens per foot squared for veg and 5000 for flower.
so in a 3x3 (9ftsquared) tent that would be 27000 for veg and 45000lumens for flower
there is a similar formula for air exchanges and use that to find what cfm fan you will need. cooltubes/aircooled hoods are good if heat will be an issue.
