NEWS Thoughts on Canadian Medical marijuana License

I cant see how it could be any different!! Licensed medical growers are not allowed to share their weed with anyone...therefore it would point that a legal rec grow would be allowed for non medical patients!

Its all federal I think. You are right in that it appears to be a gram = 5 plants up to at least 50 plants (well 49... not sure if it changes after that). The license I am referring to is a medical use license but with provision to grow your own personal use amount. Does anyone think the feds are going to honor thesel icenses moving forwarding in the age of legalization?
What province do you live in

Who knows if they honor the ACMPR in the future but there was a court case that gave us these rights. I'm a bud tender and patient so I'm aware of the prices of leagel weed. An 1/8 oz can cost 49 Canadian copeck, I understand the black market is 120. Oz now. I'm broke and only way I can grow is indoors in my greenhouse. If I was forced to buy the shit I couldn't afford the quantity I need. So if they do try and change the ACMPR they may end up in court again.

same here man...i cannot afford their overpriced weed...ive smoked "the best" medical weed(according to specialists), and they figure their bud is worth $300-$500 an ounce...what a joke!! Ive grown weed in a field and had bud just as good as anything they offer at highly inflated prices.

Not sure what gov site was on but notice the gov is alowing craft cannibus. They require a minimum of 1200 sq ft and I'll bet you there are many many government hoops to jump through in order to get up and running. I'm sure it wouldn't be cheep. I'd almost be content being a designated grower, not sure what you would charge for that service. Can't wait for spring to start the new greenhouse grow season.

Hi everyone,

I was considering getting a canadian medical marijuana license. Any thoughts or experiences with these? I thought it would be useless after legalization but with the restrictive plant numbers etc in legalization I thought this may help?
Thanks!

i have the health canada grow your own paperwork and its very much worth it. I mean its free to get so how can it not be worth it? I can grow my own meds. I can grow 15 plants instead of 4 based on my medical prescription. I can mix the strains up. I can let plants go longer and more amber for sedative meds for sleeping. Once you get the paperwork the annual renewals are easy and fast. For me and what I need this is better than the recreational 4 plants limit. 4 plants is not enough.

How long did it take for you to get approved

It was a couple of years ago so not exactly sure. And there was a backlog then. Might be even faster now. But it was roughly 3 months the first time. annual renewals take about 6 weeks. Good luck man. Its worth doing since its basically free.

I know one guy who gets gouged by a doctors office and has to pay $500 a year to have that doctor over prescribe him and get the permit to grow so he can have 100 plants. That is basically a scam. Guy thinks 100 plants is great because he can basically have a legal grow op (that is until he goes to sell it) so he pays the $500 a year but he knows the doctor is basically unethical. don't fall in to that trap. Go thru a canna clinic that doesn't rip you off. My clinic says the paperwork is $25 to file each year and they waive that fee if you cant afford it.
