New Grower Think I have preconceived misconceptions of auto's

I've been on the auto bandwagon for last 18months, previously old school clone photo grower.

Variety is nice with autos, faster, more fun! Potency ok, yet to find a fav, but same with photos!

Haven't had to many problems cropping and training, they don't take full nutes, other than that treat as a photo.

Seshwan, a couple questions. 1st are you very limited with space, why are you growing in a pc case? I see a lot of people do this, and if its cause that is all you have room for fine but no matter what you grow your yield won't be big in a pc case. Unless your pc was from the 80's lol. You may want to look at more potent strains. Mephisto is the best hands down, sorry they just are! They give the most freebies, some of the highest quality, best customer service, and if your in the U.S. they ship from the U.S. The others are good just there is Mephisto, and then everyone else. If trying autos for 1st time I can't recommend Mephisto more. Also just cause you see a thc% don't believe it. You have more to do with the percentage than a breeder telling you a percent. I just bought 4 seeds from drop last week and they gave me 12.

I can only grow in this PC case for now for stealth reasons. I may well be able to move to a small cupboard eventually but that won;t be for some time and I kind of need to test the waters with the PC case. Just to be clear, this is not a normal PC case but my old gaming case, they are considerably larger than a normal PC case. I will have right around 1 sqft to play with and I have seen people pull 90g from 1sqft.

I am well aware that I won;t get anything near that for my first grow but do plan to at the very least LST if not SCRoG. Also worth mentioning that I am not just sticking some reflective sheeting and a few CFL's into a case hoping to get loads of great bud from it. I am thinking this out fully and have been reading a lot about LED's and as soon as my driver arrives I will be building my own light using Bridgelux LED strips which I have already received.

I tend to get very deep into projects and this has just proven it to me again with this one!

Ok, I hear stealth bro! 1st and most important is your safety. 90g would be OUTSTANDING in a pc case I would think, not sure what it looks like. Are you using filters? I have one in my tent and it's in laundry room and then I have a filter in there, and when I'm harvesting I can smell it upstairs at times. When tent is closed it's fine, but when you open it up and it fills the room lol. Good luck bud.

I am making my own carbon filter for the case yeah, I am confident that it will work well enough. The stealth part is literally just for growing, smell is not really a problem as I smoke in the garage anyway and the smell is not an issue but at the same time its not so small of an issue that I won't be using a filter at all if that makes sense. Main bits that need to be stealth are light leaks and obviously it cant be TOO loud. I have already dropped the idea that I will be turning my old gaming PC into a server to "test things fort work" so some fan noise is to be expected.

Basically the only way I get caught would be -

If the thing catches fire
If the door falls off so the light is shown everywhere
If there is an overwhelming smell of fresh growing ganja that someone could distinguish from bud I am rolling/smoking

Crop King, and Mephisto are top shelf genetics. I have grown both, and are excellent. I have not grown photo's yet, but i wonder if your treating them like photo's? For instance when do you start your bloom nutrients? Many grower start them to early at like week 3-4. You can do it then, but hurting final size of the plant. Look up muddy, he has a write up about life cycle of autos. It will help a lot. 912GreenSkell nailed, although similar very different in veg cycle. Some veg longer where as you determine veg time with a photo. If you can grow photos you can do this you this. Good luck we are all here to help bro. Far from a pro, but I'm on here everyday throughout the day if you need help i give all that i can.

Man I don't know what it is but I'd love get me some regular autos that real good and breed it to my photo she is a very very potent girl and a man can break a leaf off of her and it's sticky or I'd like get and make a deal with a breeder and let them do it and take care of me because this girl is bad ass it's been in the family for over 20 years it's stalks are purple and at end at harvest the leaves turn purple and if grown in doors better have something for the smell my girlfriends boys come and spend the weekend with me and every time they come they say I still smell that skunk under your house lol ..But back to autos I've got one started now it's 2 days old it's a white widow thanks to @mizzo for hooking a guy up and I've got a avt in budding and it's not going make a half ounce so if this white widow don't impress me I'm giving up.

Man I don't know what it is but I'd love get me some regular autos that real good and breed it to my photo she is a very very potent girl and a man can break a leaf off of her and it's sticky or I'd like get and make a deal with a breeder and let them do it and take care of me because this girl is bad ass it's been in the family for over 20 years it's stalks are purple and at end at harvest the leaves turn purple and if grown in doors better have something for the smell my girlfriends boys come and spend the weekend with me and every time they come they say I still smell that skunk under your house lol ..But back to autos I've got one started now it's 2 days old it's a white widow thanks to @mizzo for hooking a guy up and I've got a avt in budding and it's not going make a half ounce so if this white widow don't impress me I'm giving up.

Take a look at the autoflower portal...they offer excellent high potency bud and non feminized.

I'll check it out man it's just disheartening when u know u can grow it but the autos and me I don't know the problem and on this one I got started I'm not going to top it I top all my other ones they get bushy but only about 8 or 9 inches tall and the buds get hard but no size to them at all..

Good luck bro, if you want a sticky skunky funky auto grab some Mephisto Ripleys OG. Just harvested 4oz's beginning of September and it's the stickiest I have seen yet. Great for rosin, smells like hot mess very skunky.
