Hi Guys

Sorry for the lack of updates over the last couple of weeks, been a busy boy!

Day 21

So, the girls didn't get off to a great start due to my ph meter going gaga but they've really started to pick up over the last week and the growth is now really good for the second week I had all the plants in the 6 pot bubbler on ec 1.2 and ph 5.8ish. On the third week I upped it to 1.3.

I've now chosen the best 3 and moved them in to their own pots all ec 1.5 and ph 5.8

My new light should be here next week, can't wait to try it out!

Yeah looking good now. Growth over the last week has been great. Shame about the bad start! The guy in the shop said those ph meters never come back. Just my luck to pick the only faulty one! Hopefully I can still get the crop I intended from 2 plants off the 3!

Hi Guys

So my new light has finally arrived and I'm pleased to say that it's the Budzilla from greenlights-ledgrowlights.co.uk

For those that don't know this light is a new step forward in LED technology. It's an integrated LED light which is basically some 1watt diodes grouped together to form a big one, the benefits are that everything can be made smaller and that the light gives better coverage. I've now added the light to my groom and one of the td's is now underneath.

I will say its a nice looking unit but the price tag at $1100 US dollars is huge for a 300W unit.

Update time!

Day 28

So the ladies have grown a bit over the last week but started to show the dreaded mg deficiency that has happened every time no matter what I do to try and stop it. I think it's the main reason my plants never seem to grow to their full potential. It's not a problem once it shows as I can treat it but it's a guessing game for the first 3 to 4 weeks. I'm convinced there's some sort of in balance between my water and the Canna nutes so I've decided to swap them out for my next grow. I'm going to go for the Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect next time as they're the only nutes I've found that are for use with RO straight out the bottle and I think I need to utilize my RO water and work from a blank slate.

I think I pushed the plants a little too hard as the EC was rising and I had to bring them back down which was a little awkward as I had to add some epsom salts but I got it balanced at around 1.4.

I've made the new res' to ec 1.35 including epsom salts, just to be on the safe side and they're still on the veg nutes as only 2 have just shown sex in the last couple of days. I'll give another week and then maybe swap to bloom nutes. Ph is 5.8.

These plants are under my Budmaster 405

Thought I'd just show you a quick pic of the Test Grow #5 Grew bigger than I though it would and I reckon the TD's will be a similar size. I reckon there's a good couple of ounces on her.

Also I think it's worth including this little nugget of info I discovered purely by being a lazy bastard! I've often seen people asking how long would their plants last if their air pump was to go off well the answer.....

.......one week and counting! These plants have been sitting in the res with no pump for a week now and have continued to grow (although not massively) and are looking resonably healthy.
