Dutch Passion Think Different in DWC under LED

Hi Guys

After a conversation with DP Tony I've decided not to continue my Test Grow 5. Although I have kept one to see what happens. OUt of the 9 one was much much larger than the others, although I think it still may be a smaller pheno as it has a different leaf formation to J Tangs and is much smaller. I may or may not keep this depends how many of the larger TD pheno I get.

I put 7 seeds in to soak and they are now being put in a tub to germ. My plan is the same as it was with test grow 5 and that is to put 6 sprouted seedlings in to a 6 plant multi bubbler I built. I will then ween out the best 2 or 3 plants and finish them. Each plant will have it's own light. One 405w Budmaster (My favourite light!) one light that is from the ex manufacturer of hydrogrow. I've also been asked to do a test grow with a new kind of LED light that has a new technology which sounds amazing! I can't really say too much at the moment but all will be revealed when I receive it in a few weeks time. I'm hoping that I'l have it in time to start the flowering of one of the plants under it.

My new house has a much bigger space for me to use for growing, so I also have a new 2m x 2m x 2m tent. This means each plant will have lots of space and I'll still have plenty of space to move around. I was originally going to kit the whole 3m x 3m room out but it would have been over kill for my needs and it worked out about the same cost wise to buy the tent. I've put some pics of my new groom below.

With each plant having it's own light and lot's of space I'm hoping to get a couple of really nice TD specimens, so watch your back Seymour, I'm coming for your record!! (If only!) lol

nice setup pal i see you have took the idea of go big or go home quite literally lol you wanna watch you dont end up with squatters in their haha

whats your list of nutrients are you gonna be using ? im just being nosey

I'm still on the canna nutes as I have loads left. Now i have the ro filter I'm using sensical with a little nitrozyme to make a base ec of .4 then building on from.

I see you've changed nutes now. What's nutes are they? What's the reason for the change?

i switched to genesis 3 part formula just to keep things simple with the added advantage of creating my own n-p-k ratios for each stage of growth, in previous grows i was using about 5 different additives but now im using just a base nutrient with added pk 13/14 for flower, i was persuaded to give these a go obviously im nervous about how they will perform but so far i cant complain

sounds like your taking this hobby quite serious especialy with the r/o system in place, are you gonna be using the canna grow guide for this grow although with the amount of "think different" diaries you should'nt be struggling for comparisons

if you do get stuck though just give me a shout :thumbs:

Fair enough. It'll be interesting. To see how they compare to your usual seeing as you have more control it should be a wise move with your knowledge.

I didn't reall have a choice but to get an ro filter as my starting ec is nearly 0.8 here! I was doing 40 minute round trip to my parents to get water every week before so it's a worth while investment!

If I get in to something I do start geeking out a bit! I'm loving the growing, not just because I get nice smoke at the end but because I'm constantly learning and I enjoy the science behind it all. Science was always my favourite subject at school so this I get great satisfaction in doing this!

Also being part of a generally friendly community of like minded people is brilliant!

I just realised I actually skipped your question. I'm not sticking to the canna schedule. I think I know pretty much what I need to on strength wise after seeing a few diaries. I'm going to do what I think it should be then just listen to each plants needs and adjust accordingly.
