So... you’re feeding at pH 5.8? Does that leave your soil pH at 6.5 ish?
I had a total nightmare in soil towards the end of my mud years. It did look pH related too, so maybe that’s where the problem was.

That's what I try to achieve....

The Feed / Nutrient mix in my reservoir reads 5.8 ph, but the soil at the roots (50% down the pot) reads 6.4 ph.

I use Autopots with Airdomes 50% covered with an inch of ph adjusted down cley pebbles.

The pot is filled with my soil mix, 60% Canna Professional soil, 25% Perlite and 15% Pebbles, some "Charge" and "Plant Magic Mycorrhizae" added for root development.

The roots grow into all the soil, pebble and airdome areas, as you can see from the pic below (from another one of my grows).

So some are wet most of the time - in the extra oxygenated water/feed in the tray at the bottom of the pot, and some are dryer, up in the pot soil level.

How there are two different ph readings, is a whole new subject around "Soil Buffering".... Or so I believe...

It's a bit deep (well for me anyway)....I just know that doing it works :greencheck:.

Some grows back, I had, what eventually was diagnosed as a "lockout nutrient deficiency", caused by an incorrect soil ph and sought advice in the infirmary, here on AFN.

@Waira helped me out and put me on to the different Soil ph reading (if I remember correctly).

He may jump in and tell us ?

Nice. Sounds and looks like it works perfectly, bud. While you’re on mate, what’s that v20 pump like? I’ve got a cheapo one and it seems a bit lame. @Wile e Peyote made me buy it, I swear it sucks more than it blows... strange that he should recommend that, eh? [emoji16]

Well Sir, why @Wile e Peyote might recommend you "one that sucks more".... who knows  and it wouldn't be my place to say :nono: :crying:

But, quickly moving onto the merits of the V20 pump.... :cooldance:

I have had one running in an aquarium setup for a number of years (and still have). Couldn't fault it, loads of air, no problems.

The one I have for the aquarium, fit's inside a small cupboard and it can vibrate a little, sometimes... but not enough to worry me for a tent setup.

So I purchased one for the tent, 2+ years ago. It's now 6 or 7 grows later and the only maintenance I do is clean the air filter every now and again.

It produces more than enough air to supply five or six Airdomes easily. I like to push loads of Air to my plants roots, so I just split it between two or three Aitdomes.

Once turned on, it stays on 24/7 for the whole grow.

Recommended bit of Kit, very reliable and worth the extra few £'s
