@RivetGrrl How these look? Think I can start them in 3 gal fabric pots and transplant with no prob or bad idea?

They look like they are doing well, nice selection :smoking:
I'm not the greatest for this question as I'm mostly DWC now, buy I also grow in AutoPots too.
Oops I just realized fabric pots, will be hard to transplant them from the fabric pots. Are you thinking of putting the whole fabric pot into a bigger container? Would be easier to have the fabric as the last container, and use plastic nursery pots for transition.

Thank you! I might just get buckets then, I have one so far or maybe a tidy cat container. I am excited for this adventure with photo period plants! The Big Lights can get massive and I love Northern Lights so perfect.

So lets say I want to keep a mother out of some of these how old does it half to be to take a clone off one of these clones I heard it was possible also possible to make a clone a mother plant. Would it be ok at that point to flower out these clones and keep a clone off it for a mother or will it be better to grow the clones out and keep the main clone? Just trying to get some bud going quick.

So these sat way too long in the cups but really took off once transplanted, the biggest is Fast Buds West Coast O.G Kush smaller Wicked Pissah Hawaiian Skunk [HASHTAG]#5[/HASHTAG] just going all natural on both don't want to stunt anymore. They look like they have some nice tops.

I used to clone the tops when I topped the plants when they were older/larger, so you can take a clone as soon as a side branch/top is long enough to root. I usually try to have them 3". The clone you have is identical to the mother she came off of, so you can clone off of her and flower her out, or keep a clone from her as a mother, or don't keep a mother at all and keep cloning off the clones. That's what I started to do, but I may find some good mothers again from my next runs so I can take a bunch of clones at once, and pollinate some of the clones so I'm not producing seed on a plant I want bud off of.

The clone you have may be several generations old anyway, I have heard they lose potency as you clone off clones off clones. But there is no real science to back this up. When I flowered out my last Pakistan Valley, I don't even know how far back she went and she was super frosty and potent as that strain had ever been. 10, 15, 20th? I will be taking more notes and data as I get more into the breeding side of things.
