Grow op, yes that was my thought also. But I don’t see it as worthwhile any longer. Throes that are established are fighting hard to maintain control. Many dispensary are controlling both ends of sully and distribution now and guys that thought they had guaranteed business have lost lots of money with dispensary not buying from them.

And then when the big boys get involved nationally all bets are off for anyone trying to compete with that.

The tent is definately a lot less like a jungle with all the natural plants out. I was doing some research and I guess the issue with the tight nodes and yield stems from too many plants in one tent and can get better yield with less, I guess I already knew that but was worried I would not have enough bud that way sooo doing what I should have done lol I am creating a poll would apreciate your guys valued advice, how many plants should I run in the 2x4x5 and how many in the 2x2x4? @RivetGrrl @davisgirl @archie gemmill @Boognelson87 @FullAuto245 @Frenjamin Banklin @Iriee Vibez I know I am forgetting a lot of ppl sorry.

So anyway the Sweet Seeds seem to be small plants, if they pull close to an oz with there size it will be pretty dam impressive honestly and benificial for small spaces.

The oldest Kush is setting up for a few beast colas the other one I think is further behind in age than I thought prob more like a week.

Strawberry Nuggets is doing great gonna be a longer pheno trimmed a few upper leaves to open up those tops this strain is extremely frustrating to lst and leaf tuck it's nodes are very close together and have heard this from a few others so I think the defol of those leaves is better for this one should have done it sooner though.

All the Wicked Pissah beans are healthy and doing great.

I am going to be starting to breed some autos and am debating on another tent or building a room at this point. I am not sure it would get to this point but does anyone know the legalities of operating as a independant breeder in the us? I see companies like Mephisto and Fast Buds having to operate the grow side in spain but then independent breeders doing it right in the states, I don't get what changes things is it the fact there not commercial and not trying to set up as a big company or?

It's not a must but originally I wanted to have my own grow op on a commercial level but the state rapes you on the license not only that but it's just a lot more work and would rather just make my own strains. Even if I can't become a breeder I want to do it anyway but just for personal use.

OK here is where I am at, I had the same issue with little cramped shitty plants and I just recently cut back on number of them. I had three photos in 5 gal DWC in my 2x4x5 and they did not fare well. I will be growing two and letting them spread out.

I gave my Moonshine Haze room to spread out in my 4x4 and she yielded 10 oz dry, I was shocked and elated!! So it's lopsided, but I have three photos in there now. Two in same 5 gal DWC, one in an autopot. It is VERY hard not to stuff more in but I know the plants will suffer.

I do top and train plants very wide so the haze was 3' wide, natural I would go 4 easy in that tent. But I really think the 2x4 needs two plants. For smaller autos maybe three would work but I'm going to see how the next run goes with only two. My autos stay in the veg tent, and at that I will try and give them more room as well. I would be fine to run a strain like Strawberry Nuggets three in my 2x4 as no topping and probably next time won't even do any lst at all. But I need two tents for photos right now, although it would be perfect for that!

I love the idea of a micro LP and am planning on some breeding down the road as I'm in Canada. But many obstacles are the same as you have with the big guns etc. Dreams eh!!

Lucky I got few seeds but it's too much to get back there and I also got spider mites that way from not wedging my lazy ass into the corridor between two tents to check daily. Think I'd learn, maybe I have now

On another note, you know if a hermie that was made that way from stress is gonna make hermie seeds? I actually love the cross and the seeds are huge and heavily marbled.

If it was an unintentional herm, then I wouldn't put much hope into those seeds. The herm trait is actually genetic and passed on to the seeds. If it was a forced her (like using cs sprays) I'd feel better about the seeds not having the herm trait because it was forced on, and did not occur naturally.

great growing and nice turn around of plants:smoking:
having 2 tents opens up the photoperiod option.also able to keep a male,or a mating pair seperate
could also use the 2x2 as a veg space and the larger tent as the flowering section.
but with autos being autos if a space opens up its easy filled
get to the point of not running out before next harvest and your landed play about with other things safe in the knowledge if theres a slight mishap you wont have to ration anything
a squat plant/close internodes can be indica,not much ya can do about that.sometimes its a light to close(everylight and space is different so a certain amount of experimenting needed)could be lots of other reasons to spose
how many plants in each tent ? is that plants of equal age ?

Hey Arch! Nice to see you and thanks for the kind words! I'm at the point of not running out now by a hair lol if putting less will keep the same amount I should be good that is a good idea to use the small one for veg.

Right now there are 6 in the biggest tent 4 in the small tent the 2 kush same age 3 sweet nurse same age and the strawberry nuggets, the wicked pissah all same age besides the Northern Skunk [HASHTAG]#5[/HASHTAG] which is older.

I feel that a plant needs at the very least a 2’by2’ space and even then it could be confined. You know I rock 8 gallon DWC and they get really big. The floor space in my small closet is 4’ by 6’ and I leave the middle open. It’s the first time I grew square plants. When I moved them out they had conformed to the space.

Number of plants though is completely subjective to your grow style though. At the end of the day whether you have 25 in one gallon pots or a monster in a 25 gallon the most important thing is that it has enough space to stretch or lay out.

It is very tough to resist planting more beans when you can still see some floor space. I went from perpetual harvest every 2 weeks to large harvest every 60-90. But now with a second room, and my DWC shelf project I’d like to try and run perpetual groups through 3 different areas every 30-40 days. Probably what a lot of people are doing.

I do get very jealous of the growers that have so much space that they have 20-30 things going at once. Breeding projects and the random hope that survives section always seems like my kind of thing. Restricted to closets and low numbers (12) lol, is a real bummer. But still thankful as I know a lot of you guys are risking everything just to grow a plant.


Not sure if I was supposed to give my thoughts or wait for a poll. Medication has been strong this week. Might need a window back into reality shortly.

Hey Frenjamin! Thanks for all the help! How much do you usually yield each harvest and is it strain dependant or can you make any strain that big with the space? Do they take longer to finish when they get bigger or is that cause of the strains?

Well, I did a moron move (literally) and swapped her from one tent to another so she was 24 hours light as the schedules are reversed. I was out of room and she was gonna outgrow the tent she was in.

Why would I do this?

I've done it before and never had an issue, but lately every time I've "it's OK I've done this before" something I've paid big time.

Hey RivetGrl! Thank you for the help and dam that is a lot of weight is that strain auto or photo? Which would yield more 2 autos or photos in same tent and should I do more than 3 gal pots for 2 plants in that space or wouldn't make a diff? With that much space you think lst or natural would yield more or about the same?

Yeah that is true seen a lot of guys get raided for bs and a lot of made up charges when things first went medical.

Do you feel making your own strains and dealing with just beans is risky too? I see people selling as souvenirs or bird seed not sure if that makes it any safer.

Almost every plant I’ve run has been 4.5-6 ounces in DWC. But I’ve not run any smaller Mephisto yet. I will in the fall and see what happens. I’ve had a Two DP get really big and go 100 plus days, Brooklyn Sunrise and Glueberry both had 1 out of 3 go long and get 8-10 zips. They were huge plants that were 40” around. And honestly I’m not dialed in and running different strains constantly so my numbers are probably shit compared to what’s possible if I got to know a specific plant, I’ve been tuning FB GG4 almost every grow so this next time we shall see where I am with that.

At the end of the day I really like to be able to have room for me and the plants. I just think that is a better environment for everyone. Less breakage from me decking about and more room for them to be natural and open.

DWC plus MC is a win win imho
