New Grower The Hazzle's first grow

I cut part of one of the tops off on Friday as it looked brown and kind of smelt funny and then thought it's prob nothing and decided to dry it to test. I'm pretty baked right now but it smelt a bit like grass and taste was crap. I'm guessing from just being too early?
Well the grass taste is simply not having done a cure. I know if I don't flush for 3 days that General Hydroponics recommends my weed taste like crap. I know pop 22 would disagree he's got a great thread on all the scientific reasons why flushing isn't necessary, but if you can take a bud off a plant that's been flushed for 3 days and it tastes okay and then you take one off a plant that hasn't been flushed it taste like s***, well you might flush.
The same plant that looked weird and I took that top off one of the leaves on the rest of the cola was rotting so decided to cut the whole thing off lol. Under the 60x I'd say majority cloudy with about 10-20% amber.
I can tell I'm going to need practice trimming.
Gonna plan to harvest it all on Friday. As I don't want too much of a couch locked effect, otherwise il never get shit done!

I just went HAM in the tent at all the fan leaves to let more light to the bottom. Although from my anecdotal evidence of one grow not quite finished yet. The plant that I defoliated the least looks the biggest and also seemed to finish fasterish.
I know you should check buds vs sugar leaves for trichomes but it's so hard to see unless in bright sunlight for me, chopped few sugars and they on average about 60% cloudy 20% clear 20% amber.
Normally feed every other day and due a feed but they are definitely slowing down as pots still pretty heavy.
Been a week since I started flushing. Going to water lightly the odd pots that are a little light then tomo evening turn lights off so they'll be in darkness for about 36hrs then chop Friday.
