Live Stoner Chat The Great Australian Cannabis Infestation (of 1963)

Yeah that true, but aint completley eradicated though ! Still got heaps of ferral crops growing.

At school they never hidden the fact that "hemp" was cultivated on the eastern coast by english settlers for boat ropes because of its very favourable climate. Dubbysteps enlightened us on this thread .

Lol That cessnock photo, is where my highschool did a student exchange thing with the high school of cessnock, we went from hydro skunk Sydney smokers to organic wild mull tokers, i can assure you big time smokers over there ! Great memories....

I like the term "Counter Culture" meaning questioning democracy. The demonizing of cannabis then escalated to ridiculous claims of supported anecdotal evidence.
So one can safely assume cannabis has been really banned not for harm but politicians not wanting a totally free society.
The irony is that society has evolved in many areas towards a more liberated society and this is expected to evolve even more.
Politicians always ask just before an election, what do the voters want that will make the swinging voters choose their party over the opposition.
This causes democracy to slowly evolve on every few elections.

Medical cannabis is certainly on the agenda for many countries but offending the educated(propaganda) of the harm needs to be re-educated slowly without losing voters.
I am convinced in 50 years, people will look back at cannabis history and highlight the in-justice of the 20th. century cannabis smokers.
