Outdoor The^Dudes High Tunnel Grow 2020

Hey Dude :pass: :woohoo: lovely lot of soil and amendments for the girls. I am attempting a grinspoon clone, i think i missed the boat with the nimbin in pre flower, not super healthy lol, another new thing i am trying. I had revegged weed from last grow, wasnt as good as the non revegged weed

I have a tarp on the sliding door them outside another tarp, it cuts down some of the light but in a tunnel in the yard, not sure maybe a thick tarp

The problem i run into in the tunnel is putting clones out too early in the year (before July it seems) results in then flowering and then revegging, pretty much ruining the bulk of the harvest. I don’t want to draw too much attention with bright lights, but this is a possibility. I could run some decently bright lights from 2-4 am, interrupting the dark and keeping them in veg. Food for thought, I’ll probably do it another way.

That's what I do:hump::pass:

Bummer, a couple of these are initiating flowering already. Obviously messed up by adding too much compost to the top of the soil before this run. Could be worse, after these girls finish this soil will go into the beds and I’ll have some new and improved stuff mixed and cooked by then.

What size is that pot?

Lol 60 gallons. It’s nice because it houses a really diverse ecosystem, there are even euro crawlers wiggling around in there. If i have watering issues the depth of it insulates me against drought. I am going to go shallower with the next pot, but I’m keeping the large format, it’s been fantastic to work with.

I've got a 30 gallon I'll set up soon, plant to do a single auto in it!

A big pot plus living organic soil plus blumats means almost no work period. I could go on vacation for two weeks during flower without a single concern. I love it. There are some cool studies lately about raised beds, multiple plants sharing root space, etc. it’s really going to be a fun next couple years as we’re able to do more and more large scale studies on pot.

Compost tea is hilarious under a microscope lol. At 24 hours saw 0-1 organisms per field, at 36 saw 5-15, and now at 48 hours it’s 75-100. So for my temps, o2 level, and stock/food source it seems 48 is the magic number. That’s in 1 gallon with probably just over a tablespoon of compost, likely closer to 2. Next time I’ll go heavier and see what happens. I’ve been brewing this for a long time, but just got a microscope to watch it
