Indoor The Convoy: Short Stuff Boutique Test Grow Rd. 3 +1 - Tha Shiznit/Purple Amnesia/ ASD

Glad to hear the ladies are making a comeback.
Never count them down til it's all over.
Look at AB's syrup. The comeback kid of the month.

Was it Batch 64 your guy was talking about.
Soilless growing medium.

That sounds like it's right...I didn't realize it was soiless, I thought he said "Colorado specific recipe" and assumed soil...IDK

Thanks, Ronin :)

Yup,
I got a bag of it to try out a long while back.
Gave it a go being a Colorado product....
Wasn't really impressed with it.
It basically is a coco based medium with "Colorado" additives.
That means dirt and pine needles with some bio-char thrown in with some perlite.
Supposed to be "reclaimed pine beetle damage" from the mountains.
I'd steer clear of it.

:Sharing One:Hi Trap'!...I'm rather late to the show,...:slaps: ...
I added some chelated iron/zinc to the last 2 foliar feeds....can't say if that's the cause or just a contributing factor
but the color continues to return.
--> I think that's the ticket mate! Looking at those symptoms- uppermost growth affected the worst, no (initial) spotting/necrosis, it narrows it down to a non-/poorly mobile micronute...Fe and S are most likely, (but Zn has a hat in the ring too), and very similar in appearance... Question is why,.... any pH info brudda? This can help narrow it down, since Fe loves acidic conditions, and locks out fast under alkaline... S is the opposite-:slaps:.. If that's been okay, then it's just plain defc. after all, ....but you say the improvements have been post flush?... Gaahh!- HF soil,... this year, I got a bags of both HF and OF, both stunted a whole round of plants, and checking after the fact (never had prob's before-- complacency is bad- LOL!), turns out both were in the low 5's! :cuss: ...been seeing this often with their soils these days,... some get okay ones, others get undercooked acidic crap,... and I'm very close to the original source, so this wasn't and Midwest-East coast thing....FuxFarms is dead to me now! .... coco, tends toward acidity, right? Trap, have you thought about a foliar spray? It's not too late for that, and will really speed the goodies directly to the trouble spots,...meantime, the supp's are certainly kicking in- :d5: ... way to steer out of the skid my homie!!

Thanks for coming by and chiming in, Waira :)

At to pH - pretty much 6.1 to 6.8 the entire grow, I always check my soil before I pot it.
If it was a pH issue, it would be some unknown reality of 50/50 FFHF/Coco (FF Coco Loco coco...)
needing some number not quite coco and not quite soil.... IDK

The lowest pH bag of FFHF that I've ever bought was the most recent one that was 5.9 at the store
(I checked it with my Accurate 8 and had the store guy test it with freshly calibrated Blue Lab)
but once I mixed in my lime, perlite (inert, I know), Great White and 300 mL of Primo (7.0-7.3)
it test out at 6.5 :)

As to foliar, yup...in addition to the FeZn, the foliars have contained Flowers Kiss.

I think the root development is the issue...as soon as the plant gets hungry...it tries to get the nutes
from down below but can't draw enough from it's root mass and begins to prematurely drain the leaves.

That is consistent with 3 realities simultaneously as it relates to improvements:

1: Improvements with direct (foliar) applications
2: Stronger concentrations of nutes in particular feeds
3: More Mycos

So I'm going to continue to try and improve the micro-herd-sphere and feed conservatively
and just see if I can "life support" them in during their final approach :) Maybe PK blast them
a touch near the finish line...

Pic update:

Shiznit - Day 44:

PA - Day 45:

In both cases, while I'm tempted to remove the leaves that are heavily damaged, I see life soaking into them down at the stem
and I know they're being used as food reservoirs...so I'll leave (LOL) them on there to allow the flowering to continue to draw from
them as much as possible.

Fed the kids today....

Shiz is drinking more still, every two days or so...the PA could go 4...mostly it's just
that the PA is about a 1/4 to a 1/3 of the size.

Gave them 1000mL of:

.25 tsp. - CaMg+
.25 tsp. - Molasses
.5 tsp. - Big Bloom
.25 tsp. - Grow Big
.25 tsp. - Tiger Bloom
.125 tsp. - Boomerang
.125 tsp. - Kangaroots (PA) / Microbe Brew (Shiz) - schedule calls for alternating...PA is on one, Shiz is on the other.
.125 tsp. - Chelated FeZn
.0625 tsp. - Open Sesame

1/4 strength across the board, with one more top-dressing of Great White.

The Shiz looked more traditionally hungry...pale occurring at the tips of the leaves like they were being drained.
Just have to try and get it some food through the roots (and need to help the roots)
Gave them a foliar yesterday...Flowers kiss and FeZn.

PA is flowering nicely, moving it's way up the main stalk pretty well.
Shiz isn't flowering as hard but it's starting :)

Are the leaf tips curling up due to the brittle dryness?
