What's wrong with it? Mars hydro makes decent lights... If you have the 600 it's a powerhouse but it's nothing special it's old as fuck. I've bought one of their newer eco models and those are better spreads better temps and better design overall. They also have more quality lights that can yield 1.5-2 grams per watt with practice. I'd be focusing on maxing yields before dropping even more money.. maybe get a proper exhaust system going instead... getting you a carbon filter would be good so would some fans to blow the air around. During flower is when the extra light helps and you'd be best off flowering with the mars 600 + the HPS to give you a nice mixed flower spectrum. Then upgrading later on once you get a bit more used to it.

I'm using hps 400w and supplementing with led bars till my lights arrive post office refused last time now they won't so they will be here in two weeks I need to change original post

I got a very similar setup my mistake was putting them in final pots wich is what the breeders recomend but i got way faster growth by transplanting. Are you using co2 supplements or fresh air intake?
