My lady has been behind my growing 100% since I started. it began by mutual agreement. The main purpose was to hopefully treat some symptoms of MS, and my sciatic and other pain.

I've re-discovered my love of gardening in the process. its no longer just about Cannabis. And now, my lady has gotten interested in gardening across the same spectrum. It began with the discovery that she can easily reach into most areas of my raised bed from her walker! Now almost every day, if its not too hot, she comes out to the gardens/greenhouse. She helped me transplant the Blue Dragon's into 3 gallon pots, etc.

So a few days ago, I said to her: "you should grow a couple plants". She loved the idea! I handed her my magic seed box and said:" Have fun choosing"!

she selected 2 very nice strains: Ice x White widow from Female seeds, ( a gift from a friend ), and Shining Silver Haze from Royal Queen.

Nope, not autos, but I want this grow documented here where it will have a larger audience. This about growing, and the love of growing, not autos vs Photos.

I mixed the potting mix for her as these are going to go to coco in auto pots when ready. I use 50% worm castings and 50% coco. The worm casting gives the plants a big boost at sprout with all the good nutrition and bacteria and fungi. It inoculates the coco also. I discuss these things with her! Its great! We can brainstorm ideas together and learn from each other.

She planted one of each strain in my standard cottage cheese/yogurt containers, about a 24oz. conainter. she put the in my "veg cab" to sprout. I merely left a CFL in a reflector on them while waiting to sprout.

I recently painted the inside of the cab flat white. WHAT a difference! Even with just the Mars Hydro 180 watt ( 110 actual ) UFO, LED growlight, its blindingly bright!
The Shining silver Haze sprouted yesterday! No sign of the ww x ice yet. but those seed are old, so who knows, We'll wait another 4-5 days and see.

These will go into 3.9 gallon auto pots and will replace the Green Poison that's growing in there now. The medium will be Bontanicare coco. she will use Grow More Seagrow 16-16-16 for nutrients. we'll go with 4 weeks of veg, then flip to 12/12. The tent is 4'x4'x6'6".

The lights currently are some cheap brand, I don't recall, Vipar's current 600 watt lights are the exact same light. I paided $230 for the pair. I have to say, they've worked very well for cheap lights so far, best total harvest was340 grams, or about .65 gpw. Not bad for 100$ lights.

BUT.......... my DIY lights are nearing completion and we are going to pound them girls with mega photons when they are ready!

We are discussing maybe doing a vertical SCROG with the SSH. STAY TUNED!

Update:

My lady's grow is coming along with mixed results. The Shining Silver Haze is looking great, and almost ready for transplant! None of the three Ice x White Widow sprouted. But they were old seed given to me so no loss! My last order I bought some Spliff Seeds Blueberry photo periods. Their price was right and I had great luck with their Auto White Widow! So my lady chose that as the replacement. I had her soak both seeds as ther are regs, and I want to run 4 pots anyway. My pot I think will be a Dutch Passion Frisan Duck.

Please do! Going to be a lot of "ducky" action around here soon! My ducksfoot ( the real deal! ) clones are looking wonderful! I'm taking a couple clones from them, and when rooted I'll flip them to 12/12 and STS one of them, and pollinate the other. A lot easier than keeping clone mothers!

I'm in pop!.....mind if this little lady joins?.....she claims something about being separated at birth and your frisian duck..... going to get my last started soon too...View attachment 607950

I'll be following! We need more lady growers here! I loveeeeee growing. It would be nice to have someone to grow with! But I have plenty of fun doing it on my own. It's very rewarding.

I hope my thread encourages others to try this also, for many good reasons.
My first concern was, my lady has MS, we grow mostly for her meds. Well, I said to her, what if something were to happen to me that I couldn't grow for a long time. I want to give her the skills to at least grow a plant or 2 if she had to. The auto pots are a real boon to making things easy! The hardest part would be filling the res, but a little at a time will still get it filled.

I'm going to set the light high and leave it there, let the plants grow to it. The whole point of this grow will be to make it as easy as possible.
