Indoor Teaching my Lady to Grow

I hope my thread encourages others to try this also, for many good reasons.
My first concern was, my lady has MS, we grow mostly for her meds. Well, I said to her, what if something were to happen to me that I couldn't grow for a long time. I want to give her the skills to at least grow a plant or 2 if she had to. The auto pots are a real boon to making things easy! The hardest part would be filling the res, but a little at a time will still get it filled.

I'm going to set the light high and leave it there, let the plants grow to it. The whole point of this grow will be to make it as easy as possible.
Very true! She has a great teacher!

How many times do you up pot during an organic soil grow? This Frisian duck is my first ever photo. Going from 3.5" planter to a 1 to 3 and finish in a seven. Not even watching the days of veg since I have autos constantly going, just trying to grow my first tree!!!

I pot up, 1-2 times. Usually just once. I've gone from my 24 containers I use for sprouting to a 20 gallon pot! And that was with autos!

I'd say, a photo period would likely respond well to starting from a seedling pot ( of your choice, I personally love cottage cheese/yogurt containers. 7-10 days in them, them transplant. When going from that to a 3 gallon, let the plant grow to slightly wider than the pot, and transplant again to the final pot.

Blueberry seeds both had about 3/4" tails so she transplanted them a few moments ago! The Shining Silver Haze is looking great and we plan to transplant into the auto pot tomorrow.

Pics tomorrow!

Dude!!! Hell yeah!!! I just had this conversation with my wife a few weeks back because of her issues with insomnia and some chronic pain.. Not sure why couples seem to have these kinds of issues together, but I had switched to growing w/ organics and supersoil because my wife isn't into dealing with chemical nutes and such.. She knows about when to water and she knows that I use teas every other week, but I'm trying to get her on board, because say something happens to me, and I can't grow but still need meds; I don't want to have to pay dispensaries a ton of money for something we can do right here.. I just ordered some different GDP seeds in the event the ones I was given to by a late friend don't work and I want to teach her with a photoperiod first, so she understands the cycles.. She's definitely doing much better and our veggies are still alive because of her (although it was touch-and-go shortly after my foot surgery).. I can't wait to see the monsters that you teach her to grow!!!!!

@Yeatster had to mention I love your avatar.. GG would be proud!! lol Or he'd kick us all in the face...
