Indoor Taproot pruning Experiment - Baby

Peat? Does it have to be a pure substrate or can you do a coco mix?

@BigSm0 could you suggest a driver you'd prefer if you wanted to run a single 1212? (35v@1.3A max) I'm having an eye on the meanwell APV-35-36 and HLG-40H-36 and was wondering. Also.. what's the cheapest driver you'd suggest (that doesn't likey catch fire)?

If you scroll up a bit you can see my plans for a cardboard growbox, I wanna make a little "growing pot for cheap" thing and the apv 35 does look best for that to me.

I would definitely figure another way outside of cardboard.

You are just running a little test/experiment right?

I tried to answer where you asked about testing another substrate. I was kinda confused myself!

@BigSm0 You're focusing on the wrong thing there ;)
I know but god forbid something happened and the light ended up blasting the cardboard. It would go up.

I’m not to familiar with all drivers out especially the apv. The hlg-60h-1400 would do the trick and it’s around $20

Oh, right you wanted me to test pumice. Don't have any here right now but I'll keep an eye out. In the meantime I can test some perlite.

Not to worry about that. I'm just using the cardboard as a framework.. the thing will be mainly made out of duckttape. And tested with a mars hydro light, so even if the pcv framework were to break and the light to fall down, it couldn't ignite anything. Furthermore the inside shall be lined with some nice reflective material (currently eyeing some insulation with a reflective side) before I get my custom light in there, to make sure nothing gets out of hand.
Unfortunately the highest current hlg60 c driver i could find is a 700ma one. Not to worry though, I'll just run the single little cob for this "tent" at 1A, that should (with a heatsink) no have it exceed 110c. Which would not be enough to toast the cardboard.
