SSSC Super Sativa Seed Club - Ongoing Autoflower Action!

Tuesday will be two months for these ladies...

ANLR is a long way from being done but she's doing quite well:

Last feeding was my first real attempt to put EC and PH in the right range and my EC was a little high. But she had "stalled" for a few days and I thought it was nutes or PH. But I went a little hot I think and she's looked stressed for a couple of days. I flushed her yesterday and she recovered and took off.

The AHKL looks close to harvest. She's starting senescence but I can't find my scope so I used a cheap one that I can use with my phone. As you can see, its resolution is lacking:

There's a lot of frost and many amber clusters but I can't tell whether they're also clear and that has tricked me in the past. Looking at the whole plant, I think there are a few days left:

I'm really liking this strain. It's incredibly easy to train. All I had to do was bend over the main cola. The even canopy just happened. I did tie down the other branches to spread them out a bit, but didn't need to level the canopy, aside from pushing the main bud down a few more times during growth. I suspect I could just grow it without any training and still get good results.

Buds are very tight and dense and the smell is wonderful old-school delicious! You might recall I mentioned being uncomfortable with the high internodal space but it mostly filled in.

I will be growing this strain again after it passes the smoke test, which I'm sure it will, judging by the aroma.

What's the estimated harvest time for this strain?

I found my scope and am able to report that there's still a ways to go before she's ready.

Howdy Y’all! :toke:
Update Week 7 Day #52
@TheMongol @SuperSativaSeedClub-David

The grow is going very well at the moment.
the AK Variety is starting to fill in and get thicker but the Afghan variety is just keeps growing up, up and away :growing:

Been watering every 1-2 days from the bottom, this seems to be working very well for me. Feed twice a week, one light and one heavier. They are getting about 1.5qt RO watera day slowly. Something about the soil mixture I made up for these two really works well, hopefully I can recreate that if I run any soil in the future. I added some sand to the mixture and it’s draining very well and taking up the nutrients from the bottom fast !!
Last feed was PH 6.4 EC 1.9

I removed the Marshydro FC-E3000 from the left side of the 4x8, modified the frame length and stuck it in my 2x2 ACI
I installed a Marshydro FC-4800 in its place  with the way the Afghan keeps growing I’m paying really close attention to the light height/intensity, if you have followed my other grow you would see where I got bit in the hind end from that same scenario already. I’m down to 3 autos in this tent and then it’s going to be cleaned and I’ll start playing around with some sort of hydro only setup for this fall.
I’ll catch y’all next week
Everyone have a great week !!

I just made my first foray into living soil and am so happy that I am considering dumping traditional nutes completely. I grow a lot in smaller pots so that's just an ideal I guess, but definitely any important harvests in the future will be in living soil.
Living soil is best used in bigger pots.................bigger pots,,,,,,,,,,,,bigger bank to draw from. The bigger you go, the less problems you will have to worry about.
For your first living soil grow, I'd just go to Build a Soil and get a few items.

Their 3.0 soil mix.
It could give problems to direct plant a sensitive seedling, but either dig out a hole and place a milder mix and plant or just transplant into it.

Craft blend
It's great to re-amend media and might be needed if the girl gets big for the pot. Two weeks for it to be fully effective, depending microbial activity

Blue Gold Flower
Pretty powerful and quickl available. I use it in place of my FFJ for different micro nutes in flower. Start off half rate and go from there

Optional product from them
ThermX............Yucca extract product for better water absorbing.....no dry pockets.

Compost
BAS has some great composts, but I'm gonna try Coast of Main Lobster compost. It's available in many more places and it looks like a VERY excellent product. I'm very eager to see how well it does. Good for top dressings and I'll bet it will make great compost tea.

Not required but can make a good difference
Some sort of mycos and microbes
I'm happy with Recharge for microbes
I'm using BigFoot soluble mycos and there's a visible difference in transplant roots, so I know it helps the adult girl.

That's the basics. You can expand from there.

Thanks for the advice - that's very similar to what I'm using. :muahaha: Buildasoil 3.0 fixed all my problems, but yeah, the small pot grows will probably stay with nutes, though I do have some experimentation planned.

MC works great in soil I think! I used pop22 low total ppm dosage with every watering with a few of my organic methods in m first grow...... 17 oz of flower with a ton of hash from dry ice shake from three girls 10 and two 7gal bags.

That's an awesome yield. Dumb question though... What's MC?

Sweet Bourbon Auto Kush - Update #14

And finally, the pre-harvest photos of the 2nd AutoPot Sweet Bourbon Kush. At day 101 and 50" (127 cm) she's only a tiny bit smaller than her sister. Here's a close look at the #2 girl from multiple angles.
