stunted or normal ?

This will give you a guideline for optimal temperature/humidity at different stages of growth. VPD Calculator

Veg under the 400mh. They will stretch too much if u veg under hps. Hps is for flowering. 600 watt good for 4x4 area. 1000 watt hps will do 5x5. 600 watts in a 4x4 is the better option compared to power consumption.
ya im familiar with lighting and growing photo periods (from clone) but never ventured into autoflowers ( or organic soil) usually did flood and drain with the odd soil and liquid ferts. (still have alot to learn)

600 watts can grow 4 big plants in 3 to 5 gal pots. Or 1000 watts cud grow 9 big plants. Or lots more smaller plants. Up to you how big or small u want to grow em. Use smaller containers for small plants and bigger for big plants
ya that was the plan with these zkittles og had them in 5 gal pots and was going to veg under 400 mh then flower 600 hps. but they look like there gonna be small so i figure i can add 10, 3 gallon bags of these and veg them all together then switch to the 1k i have in storage.

hey so i was thinking of starting these girls on the weekend. im using Pro mix HP so just peat, perlite and mycorrhizae again with gaia green dry amendments mixed into the soil. last time i did this i didnt water the whole pot prior to putting the seeds in just waterd over the seedling.. i been reading and see that alot of ppl water the whole pot a day or 2 before to saturate the soil and then dont water again until the seeds have their 2nd 3rd set of leaves (usually a week or two) i will do this method with a dome misted until they are large enough as for lighting im not sure yet what i will use there should be room under the 400 mh or i can go with the 600 hps instead until there big enough and maybe use a 1k hps for all plants in a 5x5. thoughts ?
Here is what I would do. Decide on a light and get it. If you need to add more you can. Or just go with the 600. But if you do MAKE SURE you have adequate ventilation to keep your temps in check

ya i have the ventilation figured out now and a portable ac incase temps get out of control again.. also has been cooling off in canada so should be easier to manage!!

24? days and only this size.. lol man at this rate i might get 2 grams a plant ! :face:

the 5 gals (biggest pots) are all zskittles og as you can see one is still stunted and lagging but the others seem to have started to finally grow.
about 28 days after sprouting

thanks again for the help
They are stating to hit their stride. You are in the right track now. You are going to be surprised how much bigger they will get. Expect them to go a little longer. I’d say plan on at least 80 days. What I’ve seen is that when they are “stunted” at first sometimes that can just mean they will take a little longer to finish but be able to make up some of that lost growth
