Sts.. Is it ok?

Allrighty, I dumped my other batch of sts and remade some using my other silver nitrate stock that I had gotten... Well,well, well.. I am thinking my first batch of silver nitrate could be bunk? This time I mixed .7g of sn into 40ml of water than the st at 2,5g into 160ml of water than when I stirred the two solutions together it instantly clouded up turned brown (some kind of reaction was taking place) than it seemed to settle down a bit and than I added the 600ml of water to the mix.. This mix is basically clear though with a tinge of brown to it... The first few times I did sts with the other SN I saw nothing like that occur... Wondering if this could be why I've been so unsuccessful ? Well am waiting now to see if this plants nuts spill pollen for me?!?! Guess ill just have to wait and see...

Ahhhh yes Yoda-now your solution will turn a darker brown then black in the light, put out a small sample and see.... also you forgot to double the thiosulphate it should be 5 grams to balance all the rest of your stoikiometry. 0.7 Silver to 5.0 thio, water 40ml and 160ml respectively. Then that is standard stock 0.1n or 0.1m (at this level they n and m are equal). Your solution will now do something else-staining so look out for anything that gets hit by overspray---it will turn color only after a two step process one of which requires light. So at first it seems okay then latter stuff turn brown to black.
PS-the thio formula is for the pentahydrate form it is different if you used anhydrose-3.2gm. Therefore 0.7 to 3.2 gms silvernitrate to sodiumthiosulphate anhydrose.

I had a couple of questions that I would love answers to...
when producing a reversed male from a feminized seed in order to produce viable pollen to fertilize a female auto immediately...should you plant the one to reverse some time ahead (ie 2 weeks) of the one you wish to pollinate to allow for pollen production and enough time to produce viable seeds that will ripen. I am doing an auto with a 65 day finish time.
which is quicker to produce viable pollen..sts or cs?
when should either sts or cs start to be applied to an auto
will it take more time to entirely finish the female for viable seeds?

There is some trial and error with sts and CS in timing... each strain reacts different and times may vary... onset of male flowers can be 2-5 weeks after spraying...
when exactly is the best time to start spraying the one to turn into a fully sexually reversed male and when is the best time to start pollinating the receipient female?

i have edited 2 of the only 3 posts you have made to date as i would like members/people to learn the proper facts/info of what we are trying to acomplish , please stop calling it a hermi, it is NOT a hermi and i am sure you are well aware of that, it is a sexually reversed plant turned full male

sorry for calling it a hermi, I am myself fully aware what it is but just wrote that so there would be no confusion to others. I have posted on this site and many other forums and Ive gotten absurd answers, misinformed answers and only a couple of educated ones. I myself have spent many many many hours trying to research this topic and I have read a pile of information here and elsewhere. I have formulated my own ideas and opinions but honestly I am getting tired of reading. I have severe MS and all I want is a little help in accomplishing my project. These forums were, I assumed, aiming at helping people. Direct answers to my relatively simply questions (for you highly experienced people) would be so greatly appreciated. Im a proud person and hardly ever ask anyone for help although try to provide help when I can to people. So yes I could read more, but honestly I don't have the time or the mind or health anymore to do so. I am not a rich person or I would just go out and buy a hundred fem seeds of a good auto. If you can direct me to a very inexpensive source I would simply stop asking questions.
