Strange white Bleaching every run

I will add that it’s important to remember plants don’t drink everything you give them, they just take what they need and leave the rest in the soil/nutrient solution. If you are giving them even a little more than they are using but not flushing it out of the pots then even at levels that seem low nutrient salts will still be building up in the soil. This is why you need to take them off the system every few weeks and give them a good top down watering of mild nutrients so that any built up of nutrient salts will be removed.
No don't do this under any circumstances. I've been using autopots a long while now. I've emailed different nutrient companies and autopot themselves. They all say the same shit. Never water from the top down once the system is activated. Do this pushes all the crap down to the roots. I know from experience. If you want to flush in an autopot then fill the res with plain water and that's it. To be honest flushing at the end of a grow isn't really needed, the flush products are good for autopot at the end.

I am not talking about doing a flush, just running enough water through to remove the salt buildup. I agree in a properly managed autopot system this is something that is not necessary and should be avoided, but I would say it’s damage control time on those plants if a good crop is going to be saved. You could definitely just run a tank of water through the system, but it might not dilute it enough in time to stop a major stunt/stress and plant stress at this stage of an auto grow from nutrient toxicity is worse than the possible consequences of running a little water through the pots. Nutrient salts are mobile in the soil and the highest levels will wash out with minimal runoff, probably just a half gallon per pot would do the trick. Since the medium in an auto pot is constantly soaked, there really isn’t a huge drawback to running some water through. Again this is something that ideally should be avoided by feeding at lowers levels. Mixing your nutrient tank at a lower strength should address the issue going forward. Since the water supply is static in a wick system you need to feed at lower levels than other hydroponic systems to account for nutrient buildup, which in an autopot will occur at the top of the pot instead of the root zone, this makes the issue slower to present itself in many cases.

Thank you all for reaching out. I did run some water through them yesterday, just about a gallon each. Refilled the res with a light nute solution and things *seem* like they’re not progressing so rapidly. I will still be keeping an eye on them obviously but we will see if i i was successful in washing out water build up may have been there. I’ll still wondering if salt build up in my plumbing can be added to any lock out. We have some serious calcium on our piping that doesn’t necessarily show up on my water report.

Maybe it’s the photographs, but by looking at the yellowing on the plants it seem you are nutrient deficient, and possibly need to bump up the PPM. I really don’t think flushing is going to solve any problems.

If the water you are using is already at 200 ppm and you are feeding your plants 500-600 ppm, your nutrients are to low. I would try using R/O water that starts out at about 20-30 ppm and add your nutrients to bring it up to 600 ppm, or possibly higher. I don’t think 400 ppm of nutrients is going to grow healthy plants. I do a lot of flood and drain and I know my plants would not do well with that low amount of nutrients.

I was also thinking this. I’ve only grown autos to date so I’m always scared of overfeeding. But now that i think about I’m really only giving them about 300-400ppm of their needed nutrients. I will wait a day longer to see how they bounce back, then on next res refill i will go a little bit harder on the nutes
