Help needed.... Repeated issues

My secret weapon is humanure compost. I realize most folks aren't in a environment where they can do this. But if you have a yard, compost, sans your poop, is easy to do. Yearly additions solved my compaction/drainage issues. If the soil is teeming with bio-activity dry organics are absorbed quicker. The advantage to garden soil grow if you dose ahead of time, no need to fuss during the grow, In the fall all my soil for the grow goes back to the garden bed. A thick layer of compost and a light dusting of high N guano and high P guano, plus a tiny amount of langbeinite is turned in and over wintered. In the spring when soil is thawed I'll mix in a little fish bone meal and a tiny amount of langbeinite as I'm filling the grow pots. I almost never add anything during the grow. My goal is always a strong healthy plant, I know if I do that it will give what I need.
We talking turds here? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick.... Or the turd even.

Hey thanks...... Alway used biobizz before and things used to be great. But yeah maybe I've been shy with it compared to what I used to idk... That's why I thought I'd try the amendments thinking that would solve my problem and same thing... On the soil I let it cook for 2 weeks before using as per the manufacturer, so just soaked it and left it... Was hella Compacted which I don't think helped. I've started 2 more and fluffed the soil back through this time and planted seed straight to soil.

Yeah dry amendments can be tricky timing is key might want to look into brewing some teas and feeding those they are available to plant a lot faster.

Have you heard of or tried bio tabs? I can’t get them in the states but have seen other growers here that are overseas use them with great success

TA I started my 100 gallons of soil in the fall of 2018. I packed it with numerous dry amendments covering all bases. I’d never grown cannabis but had 30 years experience with hobby organic gardening. I bought a double barrel 100 gallon tumble composter and let each batch compost 9 months between grows ( I do 2 grows a year). I amend ea batch after a grow. 7 years now with good results. I compost in neem pellets and insect frass to control insects. Glad to see you back around, I’ve always enjoyed your postings.

I'm a soil grower. When I think the bag is getting too compacted, I fluff it up a bit by basically pushing in on the sides of the bag. More like hitting it. I just basically karate chop the side with both hands 180° a part. Dont go nuts that mediums flying out though.

Soft water? As in you have a house water softener? Or is that straight well water? Have your calibrated your ph pen? Looks like N lockout plus to me. Which could be bad pH, overfeeding, bad water. If the soil is too compact you need to add perlite or rocks. It'll just compact again with watering, and fluffing it up is gonna snap roots

Weed luvs fast drainage. Mine is 45% drainage. I use perlite and expanded clay balls. In the cloth bags I have to water every 48hrs. I give each girl around a gallon ea time (7 gal bags). @Garysmells21 your girls will go to the finish. Pick the dead leaves off and let them go. I had a lot of experience with organic growing and still had a 2 or 3 year learning curve growing weed. I feel like I still have things to learn about it. This is a great place to gather knowledge.

Yeah, I grow my shit in shit :vibe:
Compositing is slow affair @67N. Two years in the pile before a turd comes to the grow.

:crying: @trailanimal :aha:...I can See the headlines now....this guy on AFN says crap in your plant pots and now when I put the light on in the grow room none of the neighbours complain about the smell of cannabis anymore.....:gassy:......

@Garysmells21 ....get a bag of Seedling compost...grow a plant up to sex with nothing but water....:watering:...then look at it to see if it is your water...or all the amendments you are adding.
