Grow Mediums stone dragon coco scrog auto kaya

Little experiment filled the rezs with clean water and have been letting sit an bubble. Temp yesterday was 67º ph 7.6 this morning temp in dragon rez 71º ph 8.5 kaya 47 70º ph 8.4. Temp controls ph? Hummmmmm. Could be part issue on ph problem.

Update... 12 hrs later so right now....76º at 8.6 ph.

Ok it sounds like the process is pretty dead on. Do you pre buffer and rinse the coco you buy? I do with every brand but Gold Label. I trust theirs. Id suggest that with 150 ppm calmag and 5.5 ph before you ever plant anything in it. Wanna water or keep the rez at 5.7-5.9 PH at all times. That will lower media PH into the correct place. In flower i rock 5.4-5.6.

Temos will cause rises faster, add a chiller if need be, 1/10th HP one will work. Super cheap and easy. Keep rez at 68° or as close to it as possible. But you can use a lot of air to compensate for higher temps as well as microlife like great white

I don't usually buffer. Though next time a very well may. The small table, 2x4 has always, thus far. Been great with out any buffering. Same coco. Maybe I have just been lucky with the strains I've picked. As for the chiller option....I'm tapped out on my available electricity in my grow area. Though I could add more air to the rez. Each table has an air pump with six spots. I had been running flex tubes under the smart pots to add more air to the table. Of course, that may not be as beneficial, seeing that they just pull warmer air from the room. Think I'll just put some stones on them and drop um back into the reservoirs. I do use mychos. I'm out now so maybe I'll check out the great white ones. Thanks 777.

Have not fed either table for days. Dragons have not shown any new growth for some time. Though the flowers are developing slowly. Still lookin knocked out. Beginning ph, after two days of bubbling, was 8.7. Temp 75º put in full strength bloom nutes and 100ml mag amp. To 30gl water. Run off was similar. I will be watching ph very closely and lowering as needed to get closer to 5.5-5.7 range.
S.D rez..2.526, ph 5.9, 75º
K.47 rez.2.332, ph 5.9, 75º
Rm 72-86, Rh 49-62
Bad boy lights are set to go off at 00:00 til 06:00; running @ 3/4 pwr. Kaya lights stay on the whole time. Thrips have invaded!

Summer growing is always a challenge.

The crazy ass weather we've been having has been throwing my grow off as well.
40 degree swings and crazy humidity lately.
It's all good though, we'll be back to blazing hot and dry as a bone soon enough.

Get nuclear on the thrips.
I use Azamax as my regular preventive maintenance. Every 14 days or so.
Especially in summer.
Here's to everything chilling out and getting back in order.:Sharing One:

Funny thing Ronin, I was thinkin for summer time fun I would grow your style no scrog no damn rez issues. Fall an winter is the best time for the way I grow. 0º outside and 75º in the room. Oh NO DAMN BUGS either. Finally got the monsoon rains this week. 2 days later then last year.

As for thrip issue. I am try some systematic stuff sns 209 or some shit like that. Think I like the spray stuff better, but I'm movin into flower phase......sooooo.
Thanks again for the encouragement.

Yea I noticed that. Freaken random ass Monsoons and my Humidity will not go down to save my ass. 2 days so far of this bs. NOOOOOOOO the thrips!!! Annoying little bastards. We use Azamax and Thrip paper to control em. Or Takedown spray that has Pyrethium, "I put that shit on everything" lol.

Akr update. She hasn't really done much with the weeks she's been outside. Should have gotten her out way sooner. But I still have a few months.20140802_143419.jpg
