I want everyone's opinion on what they wouled recommend as start up nuits. I am talking about nuits that one would use from babys to 4 or 5 weeks old. I am talking about hydro bubbly tank nuits.

I just made a small nursery tank trying to improve my start up by having closer lights to the babies and going with higher nitrogen nuits for start up. Currently I am using Miracle Gro "All Purpose 24=8-16 at 400 ppm. pH is at 6.3. Only additions to the mix is some cal/mag No health problems but I want faster growth. As it is they are not performing any better than as if they were started in the big bubbly tank. Maybe I am expecting something which is not to be had.

Any suggestions for nuits would be appreciated. Let us hear from you I am all ears.

I use canna nutes mate the whole range and been very happy with them

yeah canna is good great results never had major issues just start off minimal with em

Yea but which Canna nuit for start up? Do you know what the NPK of the start up nuit is?

on second thought Nelson what kind of lights are you using over your nursury tank and what spectra?

Thanks Bush. I am going to try the AN nuits first and then if they don't perform well I will try another one. I really want to get these little totes up and running and dialed in for maximum groth. I will keep you all posted with my comparison grows in the two nursery tanks. It should be interesting to have nuits measured side by side with identical plants under identical conditions.

if I have it kicking around I use House & Garden Aqua flakes as a base, its high quality and economical wich is a plus for me as I mail order everything and don't like paying for water or paying to ship water. http://www.house-garden.ca/base-nutrients/aqua-flakes-ab-nutrient/

other than that I use all organics and mix myself.

I am using CFLs. 45 watts actual power draw. 3000 lumens each 6 0f them about 12 " above the plants. 4100K color temp.
