NOT over-watering advice for the Squid

So I wanted to add this and get some help on it, because apparently I need it, despite all of the stuff I do know, I tend to over-water. I would love any and all advice on early stage watering. After full waterings with runoff I can handle it.

For example: How much exactly and with what technique are you watering with for the first two weeks?

Do you soak your entire pot first?

Let me hear it folks!

im no expert atall, but to start off id drench the soil mix and check ph etc. then leave the pot under lights or somewhere warm for a few days until it is just nicely moist then add seed or sprout whatever way. then add small amounts of water when needed.

was it you saying to just mist when seedlings? seems like it might be a good idea i might try that next time. and just keep the soil lightly moist.

Yeah I misted, but then started watering watering too early. Just need to keep with the sprays on the soil, but I know some use teaspoons and droppers. Thanks for the input bgrt!

I drench my soil... plant seeds in 20 minutes or so (after it distributes uniformly) then i use a spray bottle to mist the tops to keep evenly moist... i also weight-check them oaccasionally and if they are getting light ill give them a little does to get the weight of the cup back about where it feels right... :toke:

24-32 oz cups... they are 7 inches tall.... i find thats just enough to get to sex before transplanting...

Yeah, mine were too small, causing problems with the Promix I believe. Just plastic party cups from Wally world or something?

@JM. Cool. I think I remember you saying that somewhere already. I will have to look for some bigger cups at Walmart. Thanks man.

@Mossy. Thank you kind one. I am using cups to start then airpots, after they get a little bigger I have no problems it's just early stages. I like terra cotta pots for some things outside though :D
