Photoperiod Spliff seeds Purple Berry Kush & Spliff Cheese

Great looking plants man. Looks like they will yield good. I'm glad they stink hard for you. The lack of terps and smell is what drove me to photos. I'll be along till the smoke report. Good work

Thanks Sleazy! I'm hoping to finally nail it this time in terms of smell and flavour and I think I'm on track so far so I need to get my feeding right as have over fed towards the end of previous grows, I should be at max feed in a week or 2 and will then start backing off, I think I will also try that new Millenium winter frost at the end as supposedly really brings on the smell and Terps

Looking super healthy.

No bucket changes in DWC I think makes us pay more attention to the plants requirements and go lighter on the nutrients. I just cleaned those buckets last weekend and they had solid salts In The bottom of the bucket but plants we’re very healthy. I tend to think of DWC like any other medium. Should only need a flush or complete change if we are doing something wrong. I think if we know our nutrients and watch the leave color it can be a fairly simple feeding process. I just watch the green and adjust from there. If you can keep that light green new growth look into flower and then transition to a low nitrogen bloom period the plants will nicely progress to a deep green by final flower.

Ramble over. Plants looking like they will reward you for the effort.

Tapering of nutrients at the end is probably the best time to really watch the plants signs to let you know what it’s doing. I try to keep my base nutrient which is Megacrop at seedling levels and add bloom boosters to supplement whatever is left in the solution from the veg period. If the plant starts pulling nutrients from the leaves it’s usually easy to see what it wants and add from their. I’d rather be light on nutrients and allow the plant to eat itself a bit as opposed to locking it out. Corrections happen faster when you just need to up nutrients as opposed to flush and readjust. Slot of times in full bloom I find in topping with plain water every other top off. IE 2-3 gallon top off with light nutrients, next top off 3 gallons plain and then watch PH. If it drops I plain water next top off. If it’s stable I do plain water again, if the PH raises then I add nutrients. I find letting the PH tell me when I should be adding nutrients in final bloom allows the buckets not to get toxic or over fertilized.

Totally agree FB, I have been trying to take it easy on the feeds as all other grows the leaves in flower have definitely gone to dark, also when I used to just dump out the veg nutes and then change over to bloom nutes I had a hard time with PH just constantly dropping whereas this time adding the bloom nute mix on top of the veg mix has kept my ph stable through transition into flower.

Another week down, both girls doing well, really happy with Spliff seeds genetics, both girls have a great aroma and are nice and sticky!
Did a little more training on the cheese but will probably leave her now to grow out, kush I should probably open her up a bit but I'm lazy and cant be bothered so again will probably just do a little defoliation and let her grow out.

Excellent looking bushes you got there. Looks like they are gonna yield well. What's the breeder say their flowering time is?

Thanks Sleazy mate! I think they say 8 weeks for both but still confused if that means from flip or from the time they start forming buds??

Day 50 12/12
Purple berry kush - 37 days since pistils
Cheese - 31 days since pistils

Kush starting to pack on the weight now, have dropped the base nutes and upped the PK so hoping she can put on some more frost but smells delicious.

Cheese is a frosty girl and is still filling in but her buds are smaller and I think she might finish first, also smelling great, I just hope she goes another few weeks so she can pack on some weight.
