Hope wherever you are you're enjoying the type of sweet smell I'm relishing from this full little cab -- yummy skunky sweet.
This is what I call Blue Onyx 1 (a cross of Blueberry and Onyx). This one, of three, hit flower early and with a vengeance. Looks awesome.
Next is Blue Onyx 2. Larger than the last and just pushing buds now.
Blue Onyx 3. Fatter budset than no.2 and promising to be special.
Next is that Onyx with the lovely symmetrical structure I can't bring myself to bend. Also pushing buds nicely.
Last is my Different Ryder and this one is the largest example of the many I've grown -- very much like her Think Different mother. Not in bud yet but she can't be far off.
Not much happening on this thread but I'll update for posterity, LoL!
Okay, 69 days for this grow and the Different Ryder had to go into friend's back yard (no, not the delinquent's who almost killed my blueberry sati); damn thing was getting bigger than it's Think Different mom!
Now for the Blue Onyx gals. The first of the three, the one who went into flower quickly, and she's been on water for four days now. I figure another week should do her done.
The second Blue Onyx is truly a work of art! The way I've supercropped it makes it difficult to distinguish the crown but she's so thick and wonderfully fragrant, so sweet and musky, someone with more talent than me should have stabilized her as a true strain, it's gonna be a 10/10 for sure. She's been on water for two days.
The last Blue Onyx took after her sati bitch mother and is taking her sweet time. Started filling buds in the last five days and is still on light nutes. Another three weeks for this one I reckon.
Last is my pure Onyx and, yup, I had to bend her in the end. But look at her! Beautiful, simply lovely. Also on water for two days and a nice earthy scent coming off her.
That's if for now; another few weeks and I'll have cleared enough room to start my Mephisto Grow And Tell -- a 24 Carat grow, and seeing how well Mitch looked after me and what I've seen others like Marga do with the strain, I'm practically chomping at the bit to get on with it...all good things come to those who wait, sigh!
Early cheer at day 74! Two Blue Onyx and my pure Onyx are ready! Big sugar everywhere, smell now skunky sweet, curiously. Firstly, the Blue Onyx that hit flower early and with a vengeance. Didn't get much size but sure put out some rock hard little nugs! I figure just under a zip from her when cured.
Next is my second Blue Onyx and she's sweetly scented. More tight and hard nugs frosted and peppered with amber pistils. Has to be over a zip when done.
Next is my pure Onyx and this one came out better than its parent! Veritably dripping icky sticky! Lotsa weight in her and sure to be near two zips in the end.
Lastly my third Blue Onyx -- the bloody sati dom identical to her alleged Blueberry mother. Same hempy smell too. She's got two weeks left, if not more.
The best news is -- now I have room to wet a few Mephisto 24 Carat beans! Gonna put 'em in water tomorrow or the day after that.
Thanks bro! Yeah, locally made pots, lived up to the hype, promote nice root mass and with good nutes they delivered well. Now for the finger-chewin-time-draggin-wait till those nugs dry and cure...
I soaked 'em well after transplanting at about 700ppm with an enriched Ca/Mg and heavy P supplemented solution running pH 5.6. I water sparingly with solution balanced between grow and bloom macros at 1.2 EC and same pH till the plants get to six or seven inches. When they hit preflower stretch I find I need to soak them twice every 24hr period or they dry out too much. In full bloom they get a straight bloom blend. Oh, I use bioponic nutes -- developed 27 years ago by Dr. Luther Thomas and they gave rise to all the bio/organic enriched stuff on the market today (tried many of them), but I reckon biopoincs is still the best, hands down.
