Dragon Meds Sour D mango comparison grow by discretepete and greenskell

Day 48
The two girls are doing okay, though I am still struggling with finding the perfect feed for these two. I decided to cut the nitrogen half of the bloom formula out for a few feedings(now I get why nobody wants to use AN calmagxtra with the not needed nitrogen)

Big Girl in the corner, showing the leaned back training approach, looking okay, but wow is she behind the others in flower:

Great job in here man! Those are looking great! I'll go grab mine for a photo too real quick. She's looking rough but I've seen worse. Does removing one of the base nutrients mess with the PH prefect technology? I have their calmag Xtra too. I haven't used it yet because the high N value lol I think it's like 4 isn't it? I'm kind of saving it to one day build my own line using my own chosen nutrients and feeding the exact NPK and ppms that I want. That will b tested in the future lol. But yeah those are looking great! Very healthy green and I LOVE the leaning tower of cannabis haha great idea dude!

Hey buddy..at least your girl have some flower!
I had read some guys have cut the nitrogen half, but I don't know about the ph balancing. Time will tell, but yet the 4-0-0 of the Calmag Xtra is too much nitrogen. I wish it was 0-4-0

Day 54
Firstly my apologies for the lousy pics...having an off day so far! For frigg' sakes...it took me almost 20 tries to upload a single pic successfully....got to love my horrible internet.
Looking pretty good...the small mango has been filling in quite well on the main cola. Main cola is getting very firm, and getting a nice smell complimentary to the strains name. 250ml AN bottle for scale

And the big girl...looking decent but not great. Finally, finally starting to put some real bud on! Still I am concerned she wont be finished in time. My photoperiod girls will be taking over the cab on April the 1st. If I can, I will work around the big mango if space allows.

Such a bad pic...sorry...lol

Here is the main bud forming. So the lower branches are yellowing and some leaves are cringing, so I compensated by giving her a decent leech, putting 12 litres through her and following up with 2litres of bloom food. Hopefully she is rockin n' rolla. If I can manage to keep this girl together, it should be a pretty good finish.

OK so this plant beat me. Lol. Couldn't figure her or for the life of me and I still got great smelling trich coveted buds. The density is not so good but that is MY fault as I messed her up quite a bit. Well today she met the chop. Strong mango smell to her. Kinds of excited to see how she is. I think I pulled her a little early as well...wet weight was only 216g so less than 2oz dry but hey it was a learning experience. Here's a couple quick pics. ...

Grow battle qualified! Nice! Hey man, I think you did a fine job growing out this strain. I also had a tough time keeping it together on this strain.

Worst thing for me, is that the potential of this strain is huge. If I did not bugger up(especially the big one), this strain would be an absolute monster(in both size and bud) given proper care. Next fall when I fire this up again, I will hopefully do better, though I am certainly not complaining with results so far. ;)
