Even though people say sour 60 is a good strain. I wouldnt know as of yet but what I do know is that they are super sensitive. I have a 100 pct germ rate all have popped above soil too but I ran into problems with the soil being to "hott" not just me someone else on here recently had the same problems with their sour60 If you are a new grower I do Not recommend this strain unless you have access to some soil that has no ferts in them, and have your feeding schedule dialed in. For the price and how hard they are to get going i wouldnt buy these look somewhere else try flash or short stuff stitch has his strains more stable and more durable then mdanzig stock imo. I am not the first one probably wont be the last Just a warning so know one feels like they wasted 75+ dollars.

Not to mention after people ball busting me I bought a digital ph meter calibrated all that good stuff. Flushed soil with 3x the amount of soil. Runoff was in 6.4-6.8 on all my contaniers have been using de-chlorinator for my water no negative effects from that on my other auto at day 45 and other photo so i know its not that only positive results from the water. All I can come up with since I was giving them 3 ml of water only every other day with ph being right on circulation temps evrything I can think of that i can tweak or change is right on par. They literally burned up on me turning to dust no new growth at all purple stems gutted. Out of 11 1 confirmed male that is mutated due to nute burn barley survived and 2 unknown that are the only surviors of the latest run. They are on their second pair of true leaves when the others are showing nothing but what looks like the leafs are drying up. Wasted 75$ due to have someone reccomend sour60 as a good first time strain to get Dont be fooled by Drautoflowrs claim this is not true be weary sour 60 s are super sensitive. Fox Farm Ocean Forest is my medium.

Sorry to hear, hope they turn out good for you though :smokebuds:

The attitude and I made sure to flush it sucks when I tried my hardest to do evrything right now I might not be able to make a seed stock of them just sucks.

Not just me first timer gage was having trouble too idk might be me making a mistake I just dont know what.

It happens mate! some thing might be off that doesn't jive well with the strain.

I've had some gnarly looking seedlings end up ok. Some times it's just sensitive to small changes in PH. Once things even out for a span of time they usually pull through.

I have had a few phenos that i couldn't get going good, just never seemed to get happy.. I'm with TBM. It's taken a bit of weeding out, to get it where "i" like it.

Damn Its hurting I just really wanted to impress people here so maybe i could become a test grower but its not looking to good for me haha should start getting back into the backround where no one notices me ill post some updates if they pull through but i doubt it dueces and thanks for the chin up advice lol

Greetings mate,
I have to agree that Sour60 is a bit finicky and vulnerable (especially to mold), but one has to remember that all strains, not just autoflower, have varying hardiness and thus difficulty, and a learning curve is always there.
However, a good grower will grow anything good, and he would usually always test a few seeds before popping the whole pack ;)

All that needs to be said about Sour60 is that it is a great strain for those who know how to grow it.

You did a common mistake of germing a known light feeding strain (and most AFs are) in soil too hot for it. Even the breeder says to pay extra attention with the nutes on his forum.
You could just germinate in rockwool or something and transplant into the soil, which you probably should mix down with something soilless. There are many cheap easy to get additives that can go into your soil and make it less hot (and not to mention make it have a better water/air ratio).
I would personally never germinate a whole pack of seeds into soil without testing to see whether the seedlings can handle it or not.

Your plants probably went into a nute lockout after severe shocking, and sometimes it is quite hard for them to recover, even if you start giving all the correct parameters. I've been there as well. Please do remember that autos are generally harder than non-af strains because of the fact that you cannot stop the flowering onset and the gradual loss of growth vigor, so imho it is key is to have a good undisturbed veg period with autos.

Put some more effort and research and cultivate your skills, don't be a hater :P
Nothing personal of course, I am just responding to the unfair review.

Sour 60 will give you stuff like this, and a lot of ppl have had no trouble producing buds like these.
Also, the very newest versions from this year's line are WAY more hardy and seem to take more nutes. It also seems that they have a bit better mold resitance, but I will get back to you on that as the new 2011 sour60s I have still need a few weeks to be done. (Pics are of the old version grown last month)
(Sour bubble pheno)

Instead of sinking into the background how about you ask for help and advice ?
We are all here to help each other :]

Cheers !

Your getting me all wrong Your a buzz kill im not hating funny because I said that its not the best strain for NEW growers. You go on to say sour60 is a great strain for people who know how to grow it. How the fuck is a new grower like me going know how a "light feeder" strain can handle "hott" soil If i never had any previous expreience with niether. How am I suppose to judge how the strain and soil react If im told by numerous EXPERIENCED growers that FFoF isnt and shouldnt be too "hott" I took what other people like have said and put it into effect ALL im saying is that they are super sensitive not reccomened for FIRST TIME growers. LIKE i said Not a good strain for NEW FIRST time growers get off my shaft. And it seems like you skimmed my posts because I describe my skills and describe methods used by top growers here your saying what they are telling me isnt true either wow dude thanks for the help.

@ILI hey man i know you are dissapointed but
they might just made nice plants
look at my Purple Jems..they were germed
directly into MG organic choice soil with added
MG perlite(enriched with MG slow release ferts)
since i been trying to get my first grow ever to
finish,i opened a thread and asked for help.
jackal recommended dolomite lime and a flush
actually i had a bunch of help
the rest of the grow turned out to be males but,
the 2 Jems are my pride and joy now
but it took them several days to recover from the
shock of flushing and get back to growing.
look at them now...shorter than most but still
these will be my first ever fully mature harvest

i mean great help is here for the asking

Why the negitivity and hostility bro ? I am just adding my own review of sour 60 to a review thread which I thought portrayed an unfair view of a strain I like.

You say how are you supposed to know and all, but you didn't even read about the strain and that it is a light feeder.
You bought a strain and popped all the seeds into soil without doing any research ? That has nothing to do with being new imho.
Sorry to hear about your problems bro but not all new growers will encounter your problem is what I am saying, hence your unfair review which says that Sour 60 is not a good strain for new growers, making it sound like a waste of money.

Goodluck

ps: Sour 60 was my first auto strain ;)
