Indoor Sour 60 "Strong" Under Hydro Grow 21X-PRO LED Grow Light

So up until now we've just been feeding the plant with the small nutrient packs that came with the auto-water pot, as it uses primarily coco and I figured why not? But today I decided to step it up a notch, so I poured in a little Advanced Nutrients Voodoo Juice and Sweet into the reservoir to help promote more root growth. Once I need to add water again I'm going to give the plant some Iguana Bloom, which is the best organic nute I've ever used. I also did a bit of pruning to the lower limbs as I don't like suckers... These pictures are exactly 12 days after I took the first set, which puts us around Day 19-22.

Does anyone else have experience growing Sour 60? Is it normal for her to bloom beyond the 60 days? We're at Day 64 now and she still has quite a few new pistils shooting out under new calyxes. I can tell she's nearing the end, but what is the normal finishing range for this plant?

Often depends on lighting and phenotype an of course the breeder bonus (1 week more is normal :/)

Nice Work Frankenflower... As far a sour60 finishing in 60 days goes that is up to you. Mdanzig says that for his to finish in 60 days he "Shock Ripens" by watering with ice cold water for the last week or so and places them in 48hrs of darkness before harvest. I have never tried this myself and have always harvest Sour60 between 10-11 weeks as I do all of my autos. Also, sour60 is a notoriously unstable strain as there are many phenos presents. You may get a fast pheno or one that may need the full 11 weeks.

Man i have loved your grow and its premise, there is often something beautiful in simplicity and here's the proof!

I only wish the laws here were different, i would be able to enjoy such a lovely thing in my kitchen or living room.

H.I.D is finished for sure, soon everyone will use LED but there are still so many haters/doubters of both LED and Auto's. Even today in my local hydro shop the guy was saying LED was rubbish and would never go anywhere and that auto's are a waist of time, despite so many well documented grows out there..

I don't feel so bad now letting her go so long. I just checked on her a few minutes ago and there are still new pistils shooting out left and right! I'll get some new photos and another video update for everyone tomorrow. The head cola is about as big as a 12oz Corona bottle now!

By the way, I also have all 3 lights for my next test-run. I'll be using the Kessil H150 Purple against the Hydro Grow 21X-PRO, against the 50W UV UFO from Blackstar. I have 2 different grow tents, and Kessil/Hydro Grow will share one, while the UFO will get the other. I will run 3 auto-water pots and 3 clones from the same mother (been growing a pineapple express from seed). I'll veg for about a week and then begin flower. We'll see what all the little lights can do!

I'll be curious to see the comparison. I used to have the blackstar 180w UFO with uv and did 3 autos under it and that uv produced nice trich coverage but not very dense buds. Is that pineapple express the auto version your going to try and clone?

Day 68

So we're at Day 68 and the plant is still throwing out new pistils. It has received nothing but water for over a week and a half now in an effort to "flush" it and have her finish. Many of the leaves yellowed and begun to die off, so I plucked them. The first photo is before the plucking, and the second is after. I suspect a few more days and she'll be nearing time for harvest. The THC is stacking up incredibly well on this girl, and the buds are impressive for such low wattage. I still can't believe what I've accomplished essentially "not trying". Enjoy the update!
