give her another week to 10 days i would say :)...looks brilliant...

did you check the trichs? to see if they were turning cloudy? given some more time she might bulk up a little for you. still i love the concept of this grow. simplicity. +rep

about what size is that small self watering planter? and i'll be sure to check back for the final numbers.
i'll send some good karma your way for more than 1gram per watt.

thats pretty sick for only 28w and minimal maintenance, were you looking to specifically use this light cuz i think the blackstar 240 is around this price, but it might be a little harder to hit the 1gram/w mark with that i think it draws around 130w

According to the specs I found online, the auto-water pot is about 7.125" x 7.125" x 7.125"
Here is a link where you can buy it: Grobal Auto-water Pot

I don't check the trichs on the plants... I just let em go till they finish and then chop them. This plant will be done in a few days where all the white hairs will turn orange and the calyxes will cease to grow after swelling to full size. That's when I pick her

I'd rather let a plant go a few days past completion than pick it early, and if I base it on trichs there's a good chance I might pick it early.

One thing I wanted to point out (like PrezDickie said) is the simplicity of this grow. The plant was limited to the small auto-water pot for its entire life, regardless of if it became root-bound. The only light source it had was the smallest I could find at 28W. There was no measurement on any nutrients given to this plant, no TDS reading, no PH adjustment, no temperature control on the reservoir, no oxygenation to the nutrient solution, and the plant was given nasty California tap-water it's whole life (unfiltered). The light was run 24 hours per day, the plant remained in a stationary corner in my office, there was no fan on it, no ventilation for the room, and the CO2 levels inside the office were 2-3x below atmospheric for 12-16 hours a day during the entire grow. There was no monitoring of the humidity in the room or air temperature, even though the room got as cold as 55 degrees some nights due to a draft in the sliding door. There was minimal trimming/pruning, and more or less I just sat back and watched this plant do its thing. I've never personally done a grow that was so simple, so this was a completely new experience for me. I hope it opens up a few people's eyes to what can be achieved with almost zero effort and a quality light source.

i hope you dont mind i nominated one of your photos for the BOM contest, i think it has a real chance of winning if people take into account how maintenance free the grow was and how small the light is aswell

The way I see it is "A company is only as good as it's weakest product". Everyone on the boards is interested to see what all these "big" lights can do, pumping 300W or 500W and trying for big numbers, but I wanted to see what the littlest lights could do. The 21X-PRO looked to me like the best "mini" light on the market, so I got it for this test. I wasn't concerned about price, I was only concerned about what I thought to be the best. In doing this test however, it got me curious about some of the other "small lights on the market" so I did recently buy a "50W UFO UV" Blackstar model from Lighthouse Hydro, and I am waiting on a Kessil H150 Purple to arrive... Once this grow is complete I will run a 3-way simple side by side against this 21X-PRO in grow tents with 3 of the Grobal auto-water pots and 3 autoflower seeds. We'll see what happens!

Awesome, thank you :D

+rep FF, love the simplicity and super frosty results! Cheers :smokebuds:

It's grows like this that seriously make me reconsider my HID lighting. Nice Job Bro.

Yeah the plant isn't finished yet... Still has some time left on her before all those white hairs turn orange. Makes me wonder what the final weight will be once she's completed! I've calculated the amount of power consumed for this grow so far, and it's about $12 lol! Keep in mind that's in Cali where electric costs are at or over 30 cents per kWh... At one point I grew with 1000W HPS lights, of which produced buds the size I'm seeing on this plant consistently (and some larger depending on strain). But that's 1000W vs 28W... Crazy to think this little light consuming barely more than a CFL which lights my bedroom, could produce colas on PAR with those done under a 1000W HPS. Now I'm trying to picture what 1000W of these LEDs could do...

lookin awsome bro :) +rep
