According to the specs I found online, the auto-water pot is about 7.125" x 7.125" x 7.125"
Here is a link where you can buy it:
Grobal Auto-water Pot
I don't check the trichs on the plants... I just let em go till they finish and then chop them. This plant will be done in a few days where all the white hairs will turn orange and the calyxes will cease to grow after swelling to full size. That's when I pick her
I'd rather let a plant go a few days past completion than pick it early, and if I base it on trichs there's a good chance I might pick it early.
One thing I wanted to point out (like PrezDickie said) is the
simplicity of this grow. The plant was limited to the small auto-water pot for its entire life, regardless of if it became root-bound. The only light source it had was the smallest I could find at 28W. There was no measurement on any nutrients given to this plant, no TDS reading, no PH adjustment, no temperature control on the reservoir, no oxygenation to the nutrient solution, and the plant was given nasty California tap-water it's whole life (unfiltered). The light was run 24 hours per day, the plant remained in a stationary corner in my office, there was no fan on it, no ventilation for the room, and the CO2 levels inside the office were 2-3x below atmospheric for 12-16 hours a day during the entire grow. There was no monitoring of the humidity in the room or air temperature, even though the room got as cold as 55 degrees some nights due to a draft in the sliding door. There was minimal trimming/pruning, and more or less I just sat back and watched this plant do its thing. I've never personally done a grow that was so simple, so this was a completely new experience for me. I hope it opens up a few people's eyes to what can be achieved with almost zero effort and a quality light source.
